2020 strikes again.

Dawn Wells, Mary Ann on ‘Gilligan’s Island,’ Dies at 82

The actress who radiated all-American wholesomeness, Midwestern practicality and a youthful naïve charm as the character Mary Ann on the hit 1960s sitcom “Gilligan’s Island,” died on Wednesday at a nursing home in Los Angeles. She was 82.


It appears Covid-19 may have had taken part in her passing.

So sad.  She was so pretty.

2020 has taken so many from us.  We were talking about it just last night.  Kobe was the first big loss.  He was bigger than life. 
And we finish the year with Dawn Wells, such an innocent soul.

This year just keeps on giving...heartaches. To finish with the loss of "Mary Ann" adds to the sorrow we've all gone through.

Like Toe, Mary Ann was my fantasy girl. Ginger was hot, but Mary Ann's simple goodness made her so desirable yet unobtainable. That Covid played a part in her death is no surprise. Nursing homes seem to be a petri dish for this virus.

With the death of Dawn Wells, that leaves "Ginger", Tina Louise, as the only surviving cast member of the memorable "Gilligan's Island".

She was hotter then the "Movie Star" in her down home way and she was in my list of actresses back then that I dreamed of at night, and like Toe, had wet dreams about.  ;D

Just heard that "Gilligan's Island" only ran for three seasons.

With continual reruns, seems like it was on forever.

Dawn Wells was as cute as can be and that curvy figure wasn't difficult to appreciate. And on top that she was really decent human being.

Yes, I was sad to hear the news about Dawn Wells (My Mary Ann, after school with the door locked and my little portable TV tuned in to whatever rerun)

But you know, it wasn't always about that.  Mary Ann was sweet and nice and that made her more attractive, like that super pretty girl who lived down the street
who would always find the time to talk with you while the others stuck their noses in the air and pushed you aside.

Mary Ann was hot, but she was also warm, and I think at least part of that had to do with the way Dawn Wells portrayed her. 

Live while you live for you're a long time dead.
