When you register you will have to wait for an admin to approve you. When an admin has approved you, you get sent an email. It will with 99.9995% probability end up in your spam folder, so check there for it. Some of you will not be approved directly, but have to confirm you are human, you will also probably be sent an email to tell you how to do that, and activate, before you get approved.

Also those of you who are bots or spammers (or have the misfortune to use the same email as a spammer or same IP as a spammer or bot) you will simply be rejected and not be told about it via an email, sorry but we have to keep our members safe. Now bots and spammers, it is a waste of time for you to try to register and spam here, so give up, not that you understand anything anyway...

Just thought I would inform you all about that.

Vela is doing an excellent job keeping us safe. We keep a “ban log“ that records every attempt by a banned account to login to KB. In just the last seven days, we’ve had over 200 unsuccessful login attempts made by banned accounts. Imagine if all that spam and malware got posted.

If you want to open a member account, just keep it simple. Use an appropriate KB name like “horny dude“ and not “AS7PT333XXYYZZ“ That literally screams, “I’m a bot.”

I know that VPNs are popular, but a lot of them come through areas that have been identified as problematic, primarily Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa. They can also result in your application being denied.

Finally, just use a normal email address. If you use an email address from a server that has a reputation for spam and malware activity, you’re going to get a lot more unwanted attention.

We accept new members every day, but we want to keep the forum safe for everyone.  If you see suspicious posts, links, or spam, report to the moderators immediately (click the flag in the lower right hand side of the post). Some of these bots can throw up 40 or 50 messages in just a matter of minutes.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It's been a while since I've seen any spam get through here. Wonderful job by Vela and the other mods.

When you don't  see spam it's easy to forget about all the hard work that goes on unseen.

Great job mods  :emot_ntworthy: :emot_ntworthy: :emot_dancing:

It has come to my attention that a lot of emails do not even reach email addresses at all, but get bounced, so I suppose you might want to try to log in and see if you were approved, give it a few days. I don't know what to do with people who don't get their activation link though. I will see if I can fix this issue at some point, but I do work slowly and I may also not be able to fix it entirely...
