Hello my people. Yes I've gone among the missing. Sorry to say I'm currently relaxing in the beautiful VA hospital in Minneapolis.
They brought me in here by ambulance Tuesday morning. It was an eventful morning. I started off the day trying to go from my recliner to my Walker and I slowly slid to the floor. I was not able able to get myself off the floor but I was not injured. If I take an ambulance to the VA it cost me like $1,100. I told my wife do not call for the ambulance. We did find out that if you just called the fire department they'll come out and pick you up and that's what we did. The fireman walked me from the front room out to the kitchen. I sat down at the table. My wife brought me some coffee and my morning pills and I started taking the pills. I'm not sure at what point things changed but my wife found me asleep at the table. One hand holding up my head. She could not wake me up and if you knew my wife, you would know that she can yell very loud. She called a friend who suggested dumping ice down my back . Thankfully she did not try that. I did start to wake up after about 20 minutes of being a chair zombie. When I did start to show signs of Life, all I did was Babel in incomprehensible words. That didn't mean anything and after an another minute or two I was able to form words and got a brief explanation of my wife. What happened. At that point I said go ahead and call the ambulance and ship me off.
Arriving at the VA. They instantly started doing tests. It didn't take too long before they decided that they were going to admit me and hold me at least overnight, ambulance paid for.
The next question is what the hell happened ? After exhaustive testing and meeting with both people from the heart department and neurosurgery department I've got a full crew working on me. I had another heart doctor come in this afternoon and he gave me the best explanation yet of what they think has happened.
According to the heart doctor, my heart shows that it's not pumping enough blood. That can cause the episodes that I've had where I'm fainting or just going comatose. So that means guess what more tests got to have lots of tests .
Also the neurosurgeons want to take a look at what's been happening to my legs that's made it so hard for me to walk all of a sudden. So they are going to try and get me scheduled for an MRI. I have a feeling I may have to come back and revisit the VA for that. The MRI department is very busy and to sneak somebody in at the last minute has to be life-threatening I think.
More adventures More adventures the life of Bob and I'm starting to feel better to where I can make some posts again. I've missed not being with you guys. I hope that this posting does not scare anybody. And yes, while it's serious I'm in good hands and I think I will be able to come out of this and be okay and get back to perving with you guys.
Take care and love you all and it's good to see Writer still enjoying his extended family with all the loves and adoration they show. What an epic episode.
