I think it's mostly the haircut. The cop's face is narrower, and he's probably at least 50 pounds lighter than Curly.

Last month was the second hottest November on RECORD: Global average temperatures hit 14.10°C - and scientists are 'effectively certain' that 2024 is going to be the warmest year ever

Last month was officially the second hottest November on record, according to the Copernicus Climate Change Service.

Brits face Christmas chaos with a blitz of 70mph Atlantic storms hitting the festive season.

A new run of monster winds are due to strike from next Monday (December 16) and are set to last for two weeks. Road, rail, flight and ferry disruption is expected as millions of people across the nation visit loved ones. And it could lead to another storm which will be named Eowyn by the Met Office if it has potential for amber weather warnings.

Men rate women's vaginas and reveal which types they find most attractive

Scientists have revealed what men really think about female genitalia.

More than 200 heterosexual men ranging in age from 19 to 77 were asked to rank the importance of 24 specific characteristics in a woman's vagina.

The majority cared more about how it felt during sex than how it looked. Smell, taste and sensitivity all ranked high, whereas physical attributes such as symmetry or labial size ranked lower.

This suggests that men's feelings toward women's genitals are shaped primarily by functionality and sensation, not by physical appearance, the researchers concluded.

They were also asked to rank how strongly they agreed with various statements such as, 'Women's genitals are beautiful' and 'Women should feel proud of their genitals.'

The findings revealed that while men's attitudes toward female genitals were generally positive, their opinions varied widely from person to person.

Roughly one-fifth of participants reported negative views, suggesting that a considerable minority of men do not find female genitals attractive.

Previous research has shown that a woman's self-perception is influenced by her partner's attitudes and opinions.
Scientists have revealed what men really think about female genitalia, finding that while most view them in a favorable light, some absolutely do not

'We had done qualitative research with women about their genital self-image that found that even casual negative remarks from male partners could have a big impact on women,'

Those impacts can even affect a woman's health. Feeling bad or self-conscious about one's own genitals has been linked to lower sexual satisfaction, poorer sexual health and increased likelihood of considering cosmetic surgery.

'Hence, the need to investigate men's attitudes towards female genitals as well as the link between those attitudes and genital feedback to partners,'

The 24 characteristics that the participants were asked to rank were divided into three categories: Appearance/Physical Characteristics, Smell/Taste and Function.

Those in the Appearance category included clitoris size, shape and pubic hair.

The Smell/Taste category included only two options: aroma and taste.

And in the Function category, the researchers listed attributes about the feeling of female genitalia,  including warmth and sensitivity.

The results suggest that when it comes to what shapes men's perceptions of female genitals, functional and sensory aspects matter more than aesthetics, the researchers found.

This conflicts with societal messaging that emphasizes an perfect genital appearance - especially in media and pornography.

But that's not to say that men don't have aesthetic preferences, or that sociocultural factors don't influence them.

The study also revealed a significant subgroup who feel negatively about female genitals.

'Holding negative views likely reflects societal messages about female genitals and may influence not only men's own but also their female partners' sexual well-being,'

The study found that men's attitudes toward female genitals impact their own sex lives in several ways.

For one, the study found that men with more positive views reported having a greater number of female sexual partners over the course of their lives.

But surprisingly, the researchers did not find a link between their perceptions and the frequency of specific sexual activities, such as oral sex.

Men with positive views were also more likely to likely to engage in behaviors that foster intimacy and instill confidence in their female partners, such as giving compliments or positive affirmations about their genitals.

Those with negative attitudes, however, were more likely to make critical comments. But the study found that the overall frequency of negative feedback was low.

The study's conclusions, however, may not be reflective of more diverse populations.

The participants were predominantly white and educated, and therefore future studies would benefit from surveying a more varied group.

Additionally, the authors note that survey respondents may have been hesitant to be fully honest about their negative attitudes or behaviors, and therefore it's possible that the minority group could actually be larger.

The study also relied on self-reported data about the men's sexual orientation and history, which may have been influenced by the 'social desirability bias,' or the tendency of survey respondents to answer questions in a manner that will be viewed favorably by others.

Restless Genital Syndrome? Distressing condition hits women suddenly - triggers multiple spontaneous ORGASMS.

Medics have sought to raise awareness of a rare condition that causes genital 'tingling' and triggers spontaneous orgasms throughout the day without sexual contact.

In a new case report, a team of Turkish neurologists warned that patients often face delays in diagnosis, because they're referred to the wrong specialists.

The condition, called restless genital syndrome (RSG) or persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD), is thought to be caused by misfiring in brain signals that control nerves in the genital area.

It is rare, thought to affect just one per cent of people globally, most of which are women.

Patients report feeling permanently on the verge of an orgasm that they can't complete without sexual desire or stimulation.

Some say they feel tingling, burning, or pain, according to the report, published in the journal Cureus.

It's considered similar to restless leg syndrome (RLS), with some doctors classing it as an 'atypical' form of the condition.

The medics, Buse Cagla Ari and Elifnaz Sahin from Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul, tell of the experience of a patient — a 35-year-old woman who sought medical help after experiencing persistent numbness and tingling in her genitals for six months.

One patient who suffered the condition is Scarlet Wallen, who has experienced the sensations  since she was about six years old, when it prevented her from playing outside with friends.

At first, she only felt the tingling feeling only affected her groin, but it gradually spread to her right and left extremities.

She described these sensations as a sharp unpleasant pain, which could be relieved by moving her legs.

At first, her symptoms worsened before going to bed and occurred consistently after periods of rest. But they then began occurring during the day.

She reported spontaneous sexual arousal and orgasms throughout the day — which caused challenges in her professional life.

The neurologists reported that several tests including an ultrasound and blood tests came back 'normal' and did not explain her symptoms.

After further examination, the doctors concluded she had restless genital syndrome, and prescribed a drug called pramipexole, which affects the brain hormone dopamine, which is responsible for movement.

Following some dosage adjustment, the patient's symptoms resolved.

One woman who has previously spoken out about her experience of the condition is 21 year-old student Scarlet Kaitlin Wallen from Rhode Island in the US.

In an interview given earlier this year, she said she'd 'always' experienced a 'pins and needles' feeling in her vulva, admitting that it was constantly burning: 'It was like I was naturally aroused but I didn’t want it.'

In 15 years, she’s only had a handful of pain-free days — and is unable to work or study full-time.

Ms Wallen, a part-time courier and art student, described the pain as 'burning bugs under my skin' — and like her genitals were on fire.

She said: 'In my brain it was like, I didn’t want to feel this. I wanted to be playing outside.'

She underwent surgery to have some nerves in her vagina removed to alleviate the constant burning feeling.

Other women with the condition have described the orgasms they experience as 'an intense pleasure' that can 'end up causing me pain'.

In a recent post shared on Reddit, one sufferer said the sensation is 'strongest in my cervix area.'

The woman said: 'For me it’s not sudden but it’s a slow build up, and the build up doesn’t always end in an orgasm, so I never truly know if I’m going to have an orgasm.

'But just that alone makes me order groceries to my front door.

'It's intense pleasure that if it does end up causing me pain, it makes me nauseous and the nausea makes me more fearful or upset than the pain because I hate throwing up.'

On a 'good day,' she deals with about three to five orgasms. But on a bad day, that number can be as high as 25. The highest number she's suffered in a day is 50.

Sitting up suddenly also makes her more prone to an orgasm, possibly due to pressure on her genitals. The woman added that she avoids masturbating to keep from intensifying the sensations.

Some experts have suggested that varicose veins in the pelvis, cysts along the base of the spine, and abscesses near the clitoris could be partly to blame.

One 2020 study by Harvard Medical School studied 10 patients with the condition and found nine of them had lesions on or problems with the lower spinal cord or nerves that controlled sexual arousal and orgasm.

Study authors explained the dorsal nerve, which has roots in the spinal cord and travels to the genitals, largely controls sensation to the clitoris or penis.

It explained anything which puts pressure on a nerve or interrupts the flow of electrical signals can cause unwanted effects by triggering uncontrollable signals to and from the brain.

Tarlov cysts, most commonly found at the base of the spine around the nerve roots, were the most common problem found in the study.

The fluid-filled lumps can damage nerves by putting pressure on them, affecting sexual, bladder and bowel function.

"It is rare, thought to affect just one per cent of people globally, most of which are women."

Well, "one percent of women globally," if you include only peri-pubescent post-pubesecent women, is about 60 million women.

Millions of Americans could get Ozempic and Wegovy through Medicare or Medicaid under Biden's latest proposals.
Millions of Americans with obesity would be eligible to have popular weight-loss drugs like Wegovy or Ozempic covered by Medicare or Medicaid under a new rule the Biden administration proposed on Tuesday morning.

The costly proposal from the US Department of Health and Human Services would give millions of people access to weekly injectables that have helped people shed pounds so quickly that some have labeled them miracle drugs, it would cost taxpayers as much as $35 billion over the next decade.

More than 40% of all Americans are obese, increasing the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, breathing problems, strokes and some cancers,

And a side effect of taking Ozempic is that you need to stay on it for life or that weight will instantly come back. Other side effects are: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach (abdominal) pain and Vomiting.

More than 40% of all Americans are obese, increasing the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, breathing problems, strokes and some cancers.

Part of the reason for that is the fact the the BMI index, the standard measure, is deeply flawed.

See this NFL football player?

He's 6' tall and weighs 245 pounds. He has a BMI of 33.2, and, following the scale, he is obese (BMI of 30 or higher).

While thousands of British men and women watch and enjoy pornography without issue experts say they are seeing a rise in people experiencing problems with porn usage that are having serious ramifications.

With the advent of smartphones, a massive library of online X-rated content is just a few taps of a screen away 24-hours a day.

Dr Paula Hall, of not-for-profit online therapy programme Pivotal Recovery, said in the same way cannabis can act as a gateway for harder drugs, a porn obsession might be the stepping stone to other dysfunctional behaviours.

These, she explained, can cost addicts not only thousands of pounds but their relationships as well.

'Many people start with online porn but then progress to chat, webcam, adult hook up sites and offline real-life encounters,' she told MailOnline.

Nathan Jones, clinical director of the London Centre for Addictions, said addictions to explicit content can 'rewrite' the user's brain and skew what they find arousing with potentially devastating results.

'Internet porn conditions the sexual arousal template to violent, degrading content, and genres of porn that go against the user's innate erotic tastes and orientation,' he said.

And unlike other, more commonly known addictions, there is no stopping point.''

'The alcoholic will eventually black out, the drug addict will overdose, the gambling addict will lose all their money and be forced to stop,' Mr Jones said.

'But the porn addict can literally continue 24 hours a day, seven days a week.'

In some of the most extreme cases, experts have treated patients who watch X-rated content for up to 14 hours a day.

While estimates put problematic porn usage in Britain at one in 20. The actual truth of how many are suffering from the addiction is unknow.

Many suffers understandably avoid seeking professional help out of shame and embarrassment for their affliction or fear of exposure.

The seven key signs that you or someone you love is potentially in the grip of a porn addiction and what to do about it.

Reduced interest in sexual activity with a real-life partner

Porn, used to fulfil sexual desire, can ironically act as dampener to the real thing in cases of addiction.

Dr Hall said a lower libido was a classic sign shared among many porn addicts she has treated.

Mr Jones added chronic porn use can impede men's ability to get an erection by rewiring their brain to change what sexually arouses them.

'The brain is trained to be aroused under specific circumstances: being alone, multiple tabs open, various genres of porn – being a voyeur and constant novelty,' he said.

'The person can then only gain an erection watching pornography and not be aroused with a real-life partner.'

Mr Jones even recalled how far this warping can go, with one of his clients stating: 'real women are essentially bad porn – why would I bother with a real person?'.

Spending more time alone with devices and becoming protective over them

The advent of smartphones and tablets means an endless catalogue of explicit images and videos can be yours in seconds.

As such, Dr Hall said if people start behaving differently around their phone or tablets, it could be another sign that they're addicted.
Two leading psychotherapists have witnessed porn addiction end marriages with some sufferers watching X-rated content for up to 14 hours a day

'Tell-tale signs are spending more time alone with devices, taking their phone into the bathroom or using the laptop in the study, rather than on the sofa with you,' she said.

Other behaviours to watch out for include people 'becoming unusually twitchy if you pick up their device' and changing devices' passwords to something you don't know.

Avoiding events and work to feed the addiction

Is your partner constantly flaking social events or blaming insane work deadlines for being unable to meet you?

It might be another sign they're a porn addict, said Dr Hall.

People gripped by their love of extreme content often make excuses to avoid social gatherings with their partner to instead spend time feeding their obsession.

She added one of the most common excuses for such behaviour in porn addicts is work commitments.

'People often hide behind stress at work for spending more time online and not being interested in sex,' she said.

Using porn to 'anaesthetise' stress, anxiety and loneliness

Undoubtedly millions of Brits enjoy porn regularly and suffer no issues as a result.

But a potential sign you are, or at risk of becoming, an addict is what motivates you to look at explicit content.
Up to one in 20 Britons show some signs of addiction, according to research, and experts agree that rates are on the rise thanks to smartphones making porn available anytime, anywhere

Up to one in 20 Britons show some signs of addiction, according to research, and experts agree that rates are on the rise thanks to smartphones making porn available anytime, anywhere

Mr Jones said a key sign of a problematic relationship with X-rated content was if you are using it as an 'escape' from other problems.

'The behaviour is used to anaesthetise negative feeling states, such as stress, loneliness, and anxiety,' he said.

Dr Hall also flagged stress as one of the many reasons men can become addicted.

She said: 'During times of stress we're all more susceptible to turning to things like alcohol and porn for an escape.

'And if those times of stress are extended, then you're more likely to become dependent.

'For many people who've developed an addiction, it starts off as a way of relaxing and seeking pleasure, but over time as dependency grows, the habit becomes more ingrained. It can become the only way to feel normal.'

Spending more time than you intended watching porn

A 14-hour porn marathon might be the extraordinary end of the scale.

But spending longer than expected, or than you want, looking at adult content is another tell-tale addiction sign.

Mr Jones said one example he had come across was a university student who only sought help after an all-night porn binge.

The student said: 'I finished university for the day and returned to my room – I watched pornography from Friday evening until Monday morning and had over 30 tabs open with all genres of porn… and do you know the insane thing is… I didn't even orgasm.'
Dr Hall added that if a man starts behaving differently around his phone or tablet, it could be another sign that he¿s addicted to explicit content

Porn dependence is affecting relationships and jobs

One of the most important warning signs of any addiction, including porn, is it starts to impact other aspects of your life, such as relationships or work, and being unable to stop even if when you realise this.

Mr Jones said: 'The warning signs are when you begin putting pornography ahead of seeing friends and family and stop engaging in your hobbies or interests.

He added that the rise of working-from-home was feeding into problematic porn usage.

'Since the pandemic, with more people now working from home, this has created more opportunity to access pornography,' he said.

'Many clients report frequently watching porn at work, which impacts their productivity and on occasions loss of employment.'

Porn addicts can also see a hit to their finances if they start subscribing to content produced on platforms such as OnlyFans.

Dr Hall added: 'While amount of time spent watching porn may be an indicator that you have a problem, the biggest measure is whether it's having a negative impact on your life, but in spite of that, you can't stop.

'Regrettably there's lots of evidence that, over time, compulsive pornography use begins to have a negative impact on other areas of life including relationships, work, friendships, finance and general mental health and wellbeing.'

Needing to look at more 'novel' or extreme porn to get a 'fix'

Perhaps the most concerning and long-reaching sign of a porn addiction is a dangerous escalation in the type of content.

In some cases, Mr Jones said he has treated some patients who are viewing incredibly disturbing, and sometimes even illegal, content online.

'You begin watching material that goes against your values, such as incest or violent hardcore pornography,' he said.

'Once orgasm is reached, if there is a feeling of shame or guilt this is a sure-fire sign of a problematic relationship with pornography.'

He added that an alarming trend in recent years has been the number of porn addicts seeking help after being arrested by police for viewing child pornography.

'An increasingly common presentation in clinical work is people seeking treatment after being arrested for accessing child porn,' he said.

'File sharing on certain websites is now a common occurrence, and often illegal material is unknowingly passed between individuals, however, it is still treated with the full force of the law. Blind ignorance is no defence.'

Dr Hall added porn addiction can also feed into other, sometimes problematic, sexual behaviour.

'Many people start with online porn but then progress to chat, webcam, adult hook up sites and offline real-life encounters,' she said.
Men, or women, wanting to beat a porn addiction need to take the first step and admit they have a problem, after this Dr Hall recommends addicts try to cure themselves

Men, or women, wanting to beat a porn addiction need to take the first step and admit they have a problem, after this Dr Hall recommends addicts try to cure themselves

'Of course, for some that's not an issue, but for others it's breaking a really important boundary and that's when they realise they've become addicted – because it's escalated to these other kinds of unwanted behaviours.'

So, how CAN you beat a porn addiction?

People wanting to beat a porn addiction need to take the first step any addict does, admitting they have a problem.

Once this happens, Dr Hall recommends trying to take steps to cure yourself first.

'Set yourself a goal of how long you want to remain porn-free, that could be a week or a month, and fill your diary with other things to do,' she said.

'Make a note of times when you find it especially difficult, this will help you to identify triggers and times when you're at higher risk.

'Then you can use this information to strengthen your resolve next time.'

If these steps fail, Dr Hall said people should start to seek professional help.

How long a porn addiction takes to treat depends on the grip it has on a person's life.

Dr Hall said: 'At the milder end it might be just a few weeks of discovering your triggers and finding better, healthier ways of managing those triggering situations.

'For example, if you identify boredom or loneliness are big triggers for you, you can focus your energy on developing more hobbies and social activities to fill your time.

'If you've struggled with the problem for many years and you class yourself at more of the serious end, then you may need help to look at underlying issues that might be contributing to the problem such as deep-rooted anxiety or low self-esteem.'

It is funny that since puberty hits, we all are hard wired for sex. It becomes an almost all consuming thought, tempered by age and experience. "Porn Addiction" is a real thing, but its not the entirety of the disease. I think the addiction lies in the closeness and connections of sex and porn, like you become wanting what the screen shows, instead of seeking it for oneself. But still, porn really is not my thing, it is nice to read and watch, but honestly, it cant beat the real thing. Thank you for sharing!

We had a member here once, IB. Very active, and very well thought of. Then one day he cryptically announced that he had a “sex addiction” that had caused him a great deal of trouble with his job and his wife. He said he was going into treatment, and he closed his account. We never heard from him again.

I have always been suspicious of people who use addiction as a crutch to excuse behavior that gets them in trouble in real life. Whether it is sex, alcohol, drugs, they always claim that it is a “disease,” and not a behavior choice. Which seems to be a cop out, but I’ve never had my balls in a vise over something I have done. So, I try not to judge.

Hope he got the help he needed.
