BABYMETAL just had their first concert in South America. IIRC, this is their 6th world concert tour, but in previous world tours, they would hit Europe, North America and Asia. The first concert in Sao Paolo Brazil just wrapped up and from all appearances, to use an old Texas phrase: "A large time was had by all." The band will travel on to Buenos Aires, Lima Peru and then Santiago Chile before traveling to Florida (Orlando) and then Hollywood California.

It looks like Momoko has picked up on Moa's penchant for accepting gifts from the audience. If you've ever seen AC/DC's concert at the River Platte, South American audiences sing along with the band, but an audience that usually speaks Portuguese singing in Japanese-mind blowing.

At first I did not like BABYMETAL, treating it akin to just a cutesy metal thing that the Japanese entertainment industry pushes out as to be popular, like dolls or cartoon characters that are cute, but twisted. But I gave them a shot and I was surprised. I am not a mega fan, but can vibe to some of their songs. Their collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon was awesome. Not that I am a huge fan of BMTH either, as their first album was all Edge and Angsty Anger, Shadow Moses was my favorite song, and when Choir Noir covered the song, it sent shivers down my spine. But also you have to know that I am a man who enjoys bands like Dimmu Borgir, Sirenia, and DragonForce (Through The Fire and Flames is positively orgasmic.) As I tend to say, if the music is good, even the haters will bop their head to it.
