I returned to work Monday. I could not take anymore time off without just up and quitting. They were overly generous with the week they gave me.
Today I took an early lunch, to go to where my mothers ashes were partially spread, since its very clear I will not be getting my fathers ashes. I was joined by almost everyone who knew of, knew personally and knew dearly my father. It was quite sombre in the overcast clouded day. Of course not many of my father's relatives attended, because from all I gathered, they got what they wanted. Even Sir drove up to see my dad off. The large, burly man even shed some tears. That let me know my dads memory will carry on in others. I paid for lunch at a nice Chinese Buffet for everyone, since they were filling my fridge with things. We ate and shared stories. Turns out Sir, Father in law and Dad were fighting friends in high school. I cant imagine my dad going toe to toe with Sir, but Sir had brought a photo album with him, showing Him and my dad lying on the ground all beaten up, laughing like loons. Now I am back at work with a to go plate of egg rolls and crab rangoon in my little fridge.
I am slowly gathering my will to continue writing, because the pain is just a skoosh too much to bear right now. I hope everyone has a great day!
