Watched Hachi A Dog's Story. I have read the original story of the real Hachiko, so I knew what to expect. Preparedness made no difference.

It's a very good movie and a sad movie.  It's mostly a true story based on events in Japan early in the twentieth century.  I cried.  The girls didn't see it; probably for the better.

Oh Christ, even the trailer brought a tear to my eye, I'll need a whole box or Kleenex if I go and watch this.
