It’s definitely a word association skill. I’ve mentioned scoring in the 99% percentile on both my SAT and LSAT. They used to be heavy on “analytical reasoning.” I didn’t take prep classes, might have read a book. I’m just hard wired that way.

I just look at the puzzle and don’t really think about it. It’s almost like the combinations leap off the page at me. It is weird. I am an idiot savant.  Uh oh, 15 minutes to Wapner…

I have that happen once in a while, but not often. Usually it's the purple group that's a fill in the blank. Other times I don't have a clue.
