Finally got my epidural this morning. Except for a little jab didn't feel much. I now have steroids working away in my spine.

Both doctors weren't sure if it would help my problem with my legs, but they were willing to try. Can take a couple weeks to get full benefits.

Really nice nurse was with me all the way. When it came time to lay face down and have my pants and underwear lowered, she told me to unbutton and unzip my pants. ;D
I told her I loved when young ladies tell me to do that. :emot_laughing:

Now it's a waiting game to see how it works.

ESI is a powerful anti inflammatory. But I’m sure that was all explained. Spoke with a client yesterday who just finished a series of them. He got pretty good relief after the second treatment.

Well, as I reported earlier elsewhere on the board, my sciatica brought me back to the ER when the pain flared up to the intolerable state. The decision was to toss me into the hospital.

The place was full, the only beds available were in the ER. That's were I stayed until about 8:00 last night. I was moved upstairs and went right to sleep in a much more comfortable bed. Took a few pills and slept all night.

Saw a doctor a little while ago and he thinks I can go home this afternoon. Wife and cat will be happy to hear that. Making a few adjustments to my meds and hopefully that will keep this from reoccurring.

Awesome!  ;D

Edit: Of course, I'm the kind of weirdo who might be inclined to stay for an extra day, just so I could complain tomorrow, "I can't believe I've been in the hospital since last year!"  :emot_laughing:

Sorry

You both get a woo.

Don’t forget to tip your waiter… I’ll be here all week!

Woos  to all of you that replied. CT, I'll be looking for your opening at the comedy club. There's just no stopping you. Your jokes pick me up every day. Toe, you've been here in various iterations since I've been here, but I always know it's you. Staci, you guided me through the early days of my time here and you've seen it all (wink wink). Shiela your a true booster and I aways check your posts... even if it's just to see your avatar  ;D :emot_kiss:

Love to you all.

If you're as good with that gorgeous growler gagger of yours, as you are with your wit, you're damn right my toes would be curling!

It pretty difficult to not set him up with something. Quick wit, talented tongue and fingers, with words of course. 😘

Gotten behind on updates here. Have had several appointments last month, mostly for pain management. It's not the cancer. That's not causing me any problems...yet.

It's the sciatica that's kicking my butt. Trying everything offered. Medication, exercise. Even getting acupucture that has helped.

As far as the cancer goes, I had another PET scan yesterday. Really took a lot out ofe as I wasn't to have any liquid starting at midnight. The scan wasn't scheduled until noon. Nothing to eat four hours before. I decided not to take any chances of messing up the scan so limited myself to a slice of toast before 6:00 AM.

Showed.up for the scan tired and hungry. They put in an IV so they can inject something during the scan. There was a wait while they finished someone else's scan. I promptly fell asleep.

My turn came and I was awakened. Had to empty pockets. I told the young lady I was counting the change from my pocket. She counted for me going along with my lame joke. They're so patient with us old vets. :D

The scan took about.20 minutes and I.was on my way out of there. As a diabetic I had a candy bar with me and devoured that as I walked the long spooky halls in the basement.

Naturally the cafeteria was closing down. There was a heated cabinet that only had some tepid fish sandwiches. I could see why they were left over with the first bite. Hunger didn't.stop me from inhaling.it.

Hope for results in a couple days. Then I need someone to explain it to me. My hope is to see further shrinkage of the bone cancer lesions.

Congratulations on 2000 posts. And so many of yours have me laughing out loud. You keep on being funny and quick with your quips.

BTW... some of my prostrate treatment has resulted in shrinkage. I'd post before and after pictures, but the before we're nothing to brag about either.

Again, thanks for keeping the KB family up to date. I think you need a road trip down to KC to give kcbiker a lesson or two on how to post videos.  ;D ;D

WOO to CT for your 2,000th post.
