I've now received my antiviral drug. My cancer nurse had or received some old information. Instead of a three hour IV, I got a big syringe IV, took less than a minute, not counting sticking the needle in. Then had to sit there and hour until they were sure I wouldn't start doing the "floppy fish".

No reaction or side effects. Not sure if this helps me get over the Covid faster or just keeps it from getting worse.

Once again my cancer treatment is on hold for a couple weeks. My Oncology people want another bone biopsy done. Last PET scan showed new bone cancer spots. The biopsy will tell where they're coming from. That will determine what treatment they'll use. Biopsy is scheduled for next week, the 15th. My little bout with Covid delayed having this done.

Meanwhile I'm having some trouble with a couple of the bone cancer spots. There's a growth in my left hip that's affecting my leg. Limping around like an old man in his 70s. Oh right...I am in my 70s. :facepalm: It's not bad except at night. Then after a couple hours of sleep, the pain kicks in and wakes me up.

So now this recovering drug addict has a prescription for Oxy!  I took one last night and was able to sleep until 4:00 AM. I don't plan to take any other than to help sleep.

A request for a consultation with the radiation oncology people has been made. They fixed a similar problem on my right hip and leg last winter. Just a matter of waiting for an appointment..

Sad to hear that the treatment was delayed due to Covid.
Fingers crossed that the radiation oncologists shall once again fix up the leg like they did the other one last year.

So many delays aren't helping you at all. Hoping they can administer your meds soon.  As for the Oxy, and your addiction, I think as long as you do it and sleep through the effects, you shouldn't have any problems at all. They could have tried tramadol first though before going the narcotic route.

Got a message from the radiation oncology people this afternoon. Doctor wants to see me Tuesday. That's warp speed for such a fast response.

Other good news I forgot to mention this morning. My prostrate continues to show much improvement. A normal PSA level (prostrate indicator of health) is 7 point something. When I was diagnosed my PSA was over 70!!! Ten times normal level. Yesterday it was in down to 1.something. Of course that's like having no balls, but so what. If it helps me I still have my memories.  And I can read about Shiela's adventures here. ;D

Had my consultation with the radiation oncology docs yesterday. The bone cancer in my left hip fired up and has been causing me some pain last two weeks.

My head is still spinning at how fast they saw me this time. Not only did they meet with me, they did the planning and mapping which involves a CT scan.

The female technician told me to take off my shirt and pull down shorts and undies. Having done this before I knew they'd end up around my thighs so I said wouldn't it be easier if I just took them off. She agreed which left me in only my socks.

After it was all done and I was getting dressed I told her she was the nicest tech I got naked with. She laughed and thanked me for the compliment. :emot_laughing:

Hoping they continue on their lightning-fast pace and fix up the left hip asap.
Glad to know that the technician turned out to have a good sense of humour and was a nice person.
