Nope...got a nice young lady. As everyone else at the VA she's super friendly and very adept at explaining today's treatment.

I asked about hair falling out. She said if it does, it starts slow... finding a clump of hair on the pillow in the morning. If that happens, I'll just go for a buzz cut.

Heck, the cat's already started to shed his winter coat. Don't need to two of us dropping hair all over the house. :roll:

Don't think I'll be here long enough for a meal. That doesn't happen until 1:00. I just started first drug that will take an hour to go in through my IV. Then the second drug will only take a half hour. I did get some graham crackers. :roll:

All precautions being taken. Before giving me the drug, another nurse (good looking guy) also came in. Had to give them my name and full social security number. Then my nurse read the name of the drug to the cute guy and he double checked it with my chart. Before hooking up the IV, my nurse donned a full protective gown, in case of a spill. Dang... made me wonder how caustic the stuff is being pumped into me.

Amanda did say it's only because she's around the chemicals all day everyday, so they take extra precautions.

Nice knowing I have all you out there for support. It helps being able to share my journey with all of you. :emot_kiss:

Been home awhile now. Other than being tired, no I'll effects from the chemo...yet. Was told it's two days before nausea sets in and only lasts a couple days. Have pills for that. :D

Umm... might be getting boobs. :facepalm: Side effect of hormone treatment for prostrate cancer. Testosterone levels are down to near zero, but still loving to be a KB pervert. ;D :emot_kiss:

I got hurt today. Going to bed with a sore swollen hard core and a purple and black eye. Tripped on a hoarders porch bled some but doctor saw no need for stitches  mad at myself more than the tenent

I have a friend who got involved helping “clean up“ a hoarder’s mess. And I told her, she was wasting her time unless she also got mental health services for the hoarder. And that fell on deaf ears. And now she’s acting surprised that the hoarder has re-created the exact same situation that she spent a lot of time and money cleaning up. It’s just a horrible manifestation of a mental illness.

Update on Tuesday's chemotherapy treatment.

So I guess all the anti nausea drugs I was given did their job.
One of my big worries in taking the treatments was hearing stories of people going through extreme nausea due to the treatment. I never had any problem with that and still have a good appetite.

Big effect is extreme tiredness. Not feeling able to do even simple chores around the house. The cancer drugs are designed to attack fast replicating cells, like cancer. Red blood cells are also fast replicating so cancer drug goes after them too. I was told this would happen, just didn't realize how hard it would hit me.

Feeling better this morning, so maybe I'm bouncing back, a bit.
Tuesday I go for my second treatment only I'll just be receiving one drug instead of two. I then have the next week off. Cycle begins again March 8 th.
