Assuming that your given choice is of whether or not having a fling before parting ways for good; My choice would be well, to let things play out without doing anything (or anyone, in this context.) {I.e. N0} As, well, if taking the benefits results in ending of the friendship, before the permanent separation (even if only by a moment or so,), then no . well there’s no medical hold up, had made that on short notice, as hon’ble sheriff had been busy at the moment, plus had assumed that popular opinion about broccoli 🥦 is just as it is portrayed, 🥦 = Ugh! Plus who has ever liked garlic breath?

I'm leaning the same way, spending the day as the opposite sex. It'd be a once in a lifetime learning opportunity to which a night of passion wouldn't come close. Besides, spending one night with the woman of my dreams is probably going to end up being a disappointment... either it won't be what I expected, or if it turns out to be as good as I thought it would, then I'll be disappointed that there won't be a repeat 

...although if I spent the day as the opposite sex, I probably wouldn't even leave the bed in the morning. I'd just play with myself all day to note what the different sensations feel like, and then try to keep that in mind for the next session of clitical thinking
