Where do you think the best place is for a Texas expat to consider relocation? And why?

Obviously the lower 48 would be less problematic, but please consider anywhere on planet Earth. This is a fantasy question.

I've considered moving to West Virginia or Ohio, but I am from CT and not Texas.

Sussex is nice: a 40 acre ranch is considered a gigantic farm here, and you don't get shot as much.

Well my coworker wants to go to Brazil. He read in a magazine a while back that Brazilian women love American men. As he says it, the genreral consensus, is that white American men are generally successful, intelligent, and financially stable, which they find quite desirable.

I proceeded to tell him that he would have no chance down there because he is a complete dumbass :emot_laughing:

A lawyer with a titanic in his trousers...🤔

Geez Toe. Why don't you just come back to Minnesota. You're somewhat familiar with the area and the cold keeps the crazy Texan yahoos from coming this far north.

OK, we have our jack pine savages, but they rarely come to the Metro area. They get lost before making it to the inner ring of the suburbs, and soon get escorted back to the north country.

Warm clothes are available. :D

Well trained and been made compliant....by my cat Neville

I’m thinking Spain, France, or Italy. I’ve lived in Spain. And I’ve visited the other two. Granted, they have problems also, but they’re not my problems. And I don’t have to listen to people I grew up with telling me that Covid is a hoax, the vaccine has a microchip, Donald Trump is a saint, and open carry without a license or permit is a good idea.

Honestly ToeinH20 sir, the first three, I definitely agree with, (though Biden himself was a bit lax/slow in dealing with foreign issues, during the beginning of his term, though it was at first justifiable, as he had to take care of the clean up after Trump’s last Hail Mary tactic.)
Though, if I’m allowed to say, for the fourth one can support the no-license ideology as long as the gun is in one’s hand, not pointed at him.

As for saying France, I heard that France has well, a lot of “TOURIST-HOTSPOTS” and attractions, which I’m sure you’d like.

My father in-law-lived in Nice for many years. I’m fond of an area called the Luberon, a massif of the Pre-Alps situated in Provence, straddling the departments of the Vaucluse and the Alpes de Haute Provence. Very picturesque and not too far from Nice, Cannes, and Marsalis.

There’s a movie that I’m fond of, called A Very Good Year, starring Russell Crowe. It’s set in Gordes, a town in the same area. I just resigned myself to the fact that I don’t want to live in Europe. I want to live in a movie in Europe.
