Hair metal is... sometimes good.

I'm often a bit dissappointed in the music itself, and the vocals just aren't my thing at all. Some of it has much better music (Iron Maiden, Anthrax, others), so I still listen to it from time to time (Judas Priest, everything before Hellbent for Leather)

If you cannot find anything good to listen to in any year, you just aren't looking hard enough. I listen to everything from Bach to Vampire Weekend. Some hits, some misses, some just a bit bland and boring. Never has there been a year with only bad music.

Don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty stuff.

I think anyone has a right to listen to whatever type of music they want from any year. Why give a person such a hard time just because they like a certain type of music? Just because YOU don't like it, doesn't mean they have to hate it! Do you guys really have to shit on people just because they like a certain type of music style?

It reads a lot like how my friends and I will barb at each other.  We never mean anything by it when we say stuff like it, but it's always good for a laugh.  Problem is, friendly jabs often read overly harsh in text chat.  But coach isn't one to throw insults for no apparent reason, which is why I think they're just playing.  Just imho, though.

I've only been here about a month, but that's long enough to know that the majority of people here are way nicer, more polite and open-minded than most other forums I've been in. There's also a pretty diligent team of mods who keep an eye on things.

For what it's worth, I suggest you consider making an effort to observe and give the benefits of doubts for a while, get to know the people and the vibes before you get too worked up about anything you read here. Just my opinion.

Also, there's a rule somewhere on this board that endorsing '80s hair metal bands entitles everyone to one free cheap shot, no questions asked. It's the law...;)

After reading what's been said about clown's post in my honest opinion Warlock does not sound like Glam Metal or Hair Metal like Poison or Bon Jovi. Sounds more like British Heavy Metal or Power Metal. I know some of their songs as well I never heard Poison sing a song with the name Satan in it!

At least someone got it!! Clown and I talk in PM and I would like to hope that he understood that it was a joke also with all the hair band stuff I've posted here.

As for going crazy on what he posted, move over to Room 1408 to see crazy. A light ribbing towards a friend is anything but crazy.

It was just a lame joke on my part, I plead complete ignorance. I wouldn't know the difference between hair metal, glam metal, power or whatever. None of it does much of anything for me. But I know I've seen that rule about everyone getting one free cheap shot somewhere. ;)

The used has a sound very close to some of the newer metalcore bands. We had to look this up yesterday as we thought it was new Falling in Reverse
