I take no offense.  To be honest, I have never heard Halestorm on commercial radio, only on XM.  Well I hardly ever listen to commercial radio either but radio where I live sucks.

I just love bands led by women who play guitar and not just there as eye candy.  And YES, she is hot.  What do you think of Huntress and The Letter Black?

Oh and by the way its Lzzy not Lizzy! LOL

You know, I've never noticed that it was Lzzy after all this time  :blushing:

I'm not big into commercial radio either and have XM along with the internet feede so I can stream at work each day. Could not live without my XM. And local radio seems to suck just about everywhere. I know that the Flint Saginaw area had some really good rock channels for a long time but the last few times thru I really cold not find them now so not sure if they closed the doors.

I don't think I've heard of the two bands you listed. The names don't sound familiar to me. I also like female lead vocals. I'm the only one in the family that does.

I live in NY State but I am close enough to NYC that we get mostly their radio stations which basically suck. Most of them play Hip-Hop/Rap garbage and a couple play Classic Rock. So they don't play much harder rock, especially new bands.

The Letter Black I really like. Huntress is much harder and darker, lead singer Jill Janus is pretty hot if that means anything to you! LOL

And not to hijack the thread, right now I am listening to

Liquid Metal is pretty much always on the last few weeks for me. It's probably a little harder then what I would listen to if I was to put a cd on but it's closer to what I do listen to then anything else.

Yesterday it was the Mitch Lucker Memorial Show CD. Today it's

Not really into hardcore death and doom metal and extreme guttural sounding vocals.  There are some songs I hear and like but as a rule not into it.

There are too damn many sub-genres of metal and some bands can fit into 3 or 4 of them. To me there are only Two.............I like it or I don't! HAHA

And please don't think I am putting you down for liking the bands you posted, far from it.  We all like what we like!  And I love that people in my age group still listen to real Rock and Im also blessed that my taste has influenced my kids and I never had to suffer the horror of having Britney Spears, Justin Bieber or dare I say it, Rap playing in my house!

Up the Irons and Keep Rockin'!!
