Ugly Noise is the eleventh studio album by the thrash metal band Flotsam and Jetsam, released on December 21, 2012. In order to make this album, Flotsam and Jetsam used PledgeMusic, encouraging their fans to contribute funds to its recording and the band themselves to donate to charity as a part of their fundraising.[1][2][3][4][5]
 
Ugly Noise marked the first Flotsam and Jetsam album recorded with two of its original members Michael Gilbert (guitar) and Kelly David Smith (drums) since 1997's High. Original bassist Jason Newsted also co-wrote some songs for the album,[6] but did not officially rejoin the band.

Woo for Divine Fits, TD. I put them on my list to buy. They remind me a little of Peter Murphy, and that's a good thing.

Here's a really good song from an inconsistent band: Light FM - Mercy

I've seen a couple free shows with them, and I really like their keyboardist (so cute!). They are decent live, and the album this comes from is alright, but I mostly just like this song.

I didn't go but sounds like the big surprise of Orion fest was Metallica showing up on the small stage Saturday afternoon and performing a ripping set of the full "Kill Em All" from front to back. Something that has never been done by them. Some of the comments is that they have never even played the album versions of any of the songs in any concert. They had to go back into the studio and relearn all the songs for this one off show. I so hope that someone video taped this and they come out with a DVD.
