That was a pretty cool jam session. It almost appeared that they were laying down a track and then would return to it to add some other elements.

Actually there is a version with lyrics, it's very good but I liked the previous one better because I like to watch the musicians perform.  And one other thing, these guys are like from MY time.  Does that make sense?  Hehe, who cares, does to me.  Here is the lyrics vid!

It makes absolute perfect sense. No different then for me to lay out a Styx or Journey track. Good stuff TD.....

Okay, listening to all this has taken a long time, because my comp has broken speakers right now, but here goes (I missed a few, and don't comment on some).

Puscifer - Lighten Up, Francis: This one was pretty good, very different from your usual post TD.  ;D

U2 - All I Want Is You: This is one of their better songs, so good call Eric. You are right, very good lyrics.

Kelly Clarkson - Honestly: That is a good song Tangent. She has better lyrics than her ilk, so she is still around while many of her contemporaries have vanished. Woo for that, man.

Jazzinvaders - Day by Day: a very cool song, I like the cute chick with the sand shaker, but they barely show her! Good sound, happy song, woo.

Daughter - Home (SEY Remix): Nice, some really sexy vocals with that one.

John Prine - In Spite of Ourselves: Great lyrics to that one, Staci. My fiancee gives you that woo.

Sin Bandera - Suelta Mi Mano: I liked that one the guitar goes well with the vocals. Wish I spoke Spanish, I might like it even more. Gracias, amiga.

Tim Buckley - Danang: God, what a great song! I love Jeff Buckley, but this was at least as good as him, probably better. Woo.

Creature with the Atom Brain - Broken Flowers Grow: Great drums, but nice guitar as well. This is some trippy-hippy stuff, just exactly what I like. I have tons of stuff like this, but I can always use more. I'll buy this for my birthday.

More to come, but here are The Shins - No Way Down. The lyrics are really good, so I hope you guys enjoy.

Don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty stuff.

Ooooh, makes me want to put a pretty girl in a nice dress and dance the night away, her cheek pressed to my chest... my hand on her back... heaven.

What a profoundly dark video to go with that song. I hope that it is not a total reflection of your mood today.

Keb Mo...One Friend

People come and people go
They take and they give
Build you up just to let you down
That's just the way it is

All I need is one friend
To get me through the day
One friend that never goes away
Only one friend to understand
And never let me down

I've been in love, I've been in pain
I'm a sinner and a saint
No matter where I am or what I do
It's you I appreciate

All I need is one friend
To get me through the day
One friend that never goes away
Only one friend to understand
And never let me down

Can't nobody love you
More than you love yourself
And as long as I've got my one good friend
I don't need nobody else

All I need is one friend
To get me through the day
One friend that never goes away
Only one friend to understand
And never let me down

On a Tool kick today...

Forty-Six and 2 (with an explanation of the lyrics):

Vicarious, one of their best songs, this is a piano cover I like

Don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty stuff.

My friend in the bathroom...

I have days reading your letters
Wondering why I fell for you
Well, I told myself not to miss
Without thinking that nothing was worth
Why I thought of you
When you were not for me
But everything was answered in a conversation
I want to give the explanation

I went to a store, I bought it
I served better than being on your side
Two batteries have worked
Better than your kisses and your hugs
No longer will I miss you
Well I do not need anymore your delusions
To give me more damage and crumbs
Better yet I'm happy,
With my friend in the bathroom.

Some call it a dildo, others call it friend
I just know that I get to where I pretended you
If I had heard of this treasure before
I had a friend interested powerless
If you do not understand my song or do not understand the reason
Not to call you, get you,
today I want to tell you,

I went to a store, I bought it
I served better than being on your side
Two batteries that I have worked
Better than your kisses and your hugs
No longer will I miss you
Well I do not need anymore your delusions
To give me more damage and crumbs
Better I'm happy,
With my friend in the bathroom.

Oh who would say it would be so easy
Get over your condition
Today I enjoy the best of my days
Because he never says no, no, no.

I went to a store, and what I bought
I served better than being on your side
Two batteries that I have worked
Better than your kisses and your hugs
No longer will I miss you
Well I do not need anymore your delusions
To give me more damage and crumbs
Better I'm happy,
With my friend in the bathroom.

With my friend in the bathroom (yes)
With my friend in the bathroom (I know)
With my friend in the bathroom
With my friend in the bathroom (I'm happy)
With my friend in the bathroom (I'm relived)
With my friend in the bathroom (because I have no pretense, no, no)
With my friend in the bathroom
With my friend in the bathroom
With my friend in the bathroom
With my friend in the bathroom
