I don't know what to say. We need an exception for the one post per person rule. When Miss B floods us with her exceptional photos we need to be able to flood her with WOOs. :emot_kiss:

I agree with Bob, one just isn't enough after such a Herculean feat.

The amazing MissB went through the whole alphabet in two days.  From Argh Pirate Porn to Yummy Tan Lines.

There are now 23 pages of photos posted in the Pics and Vids forum. Nine-and-a-half pages of that total have been added in the past 48 hours.

That's mind-boggling. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

So my one woo of the day to MissBarbara for her dedication to sexy pictures for us to enjoy.

MissBarbara RULES!  :emot_kiss:

Wait, is he the guy from Full House?

I can't identify the comment or the song, but I wanted to jump in and say that IMHO Bob wrote some of the finest lyrics ever. And that's coming from someone who (ghost) wrote dozens of lyrics. In the same way that some people have perfect pitch, or can write perfect sentences, Bob could write perfect lyrics.

I've no idea why the other Bob got a Nobel Prize for Literature. If the committee felt they needed to recognize pop lyrics as an art form, they should have awarded the prize to Chuck Berry or Bob Seger, or any one of a dozen other geniuses.

A woo #233 to Hilda for recognizing Bob Segers talent as a writer.  He is one of my favorite from my childhood.  When I was growing up my friends were listening to boy bands and the spice girls, I was listening to Bob Seger.  My friends parents would always comment that I had great taste in music.  Dan liked him, but since he's been with me, he's fallen in love with Bob Seger.

Writing convincing lyrics is hard, no matter which comes first, the lyrics or the music.

A singer that I support on Patreon was given a collection of new age poetry and asked to set it to music and then record an album of songs. The poetry was okay, the music excellent. The singing and accompaniment were superb, but the whole didn't work.

It reminds me of a Spike Milligan limerick:

There was a young man of Japan,
Whose poetry never would scan.
When asked why this was,
He said, "It's because,
I try to fit as many syllables into the last line as I possibly can."

Strangely enough, the opposite doesn't hold. A skilled singer can easily handle truncated lines using any number of vocal techniques. Poco's masterpiece "Rose of Cimarron" comes to mind.

Sorry for rambling. I've lost touch with the friend for whom I ghost-wrote lyrics, but I still remember the fun I had writing them — and getting to meet some of the artists who recorded them.

Who's Bob Seger?

Wait, is he the guy from Full House?

I went to bed shortly after posting this and apparently my subconscious had a busy night. When I woke up, here's what had been dredged up from the deep recesses of my memory. (No internet searches involved.)

The Full House guy was Bob Saget, may he rest in peace.

Bob Seger is a Michigan born musician who made quite a name for himself. The only song of his I can recall is Like A Rock (which may or may not have been the actual song title).

It was a hit on the charts, and then became even more well known after the chorus was co-opted into TV commercials for Chevy trucks. He probably made more money from that one song than I've made in my entire life.

You have to understand, I stopped listening to music sometime in the mid 1970s (as in the last century), so any musicians that came along after that I only know from media references. I know a few names (Bieber, Mars, Perry, Swift) but I couldn't identify most of them from a picture (Taylor Swift is one I would recognize). And I certainly couldn't name any of the songs that they made popular, not even Taylor Swift's.

I own exactly one music CD (Dave Matthews, whoever he is) which I received as a gift. The jewel case is still shrink-wrapped in plastic. What music I do have and occasionally listen to are in the form of mp3 and date back to before the mid 70s. On the rare occasions I turn the car radio on, it's tuned to an oldies station.

I do have several hundred vinyl record albums (now stored in the garage), most of which have been converted to mp3, and again, all date back to the 50s and 60s. Bottom line is, if you want to stump me with musical questions, you'll find it very easy to do.

To keep this post on-topic my woo goes to Hilda, for jumping from MJ's #233 to (now) 241 woos in a single day (and for the Spike Milligan limerick).  ;D

The full comment below was prior to the song.  It can be heard on his 1976 album "Seger Live".
“I was reading in ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine the other day where they said Detroit audiences are the greatest rock and roll audiences in the world. I thought to myself, shit, I’ve known that for 10 years.

I saw the Ike and Tina Turner Review in 1974. With one exception, I don't recall the set list. Neither does anyone else, if you go by the setlist.fm entry. The exception was "Proud Mary" and I can still remember the jolt I felt when Tina and the Ikettes switched tempo in mid-song.

The lineup I saw was probably the same that performed on The Midnight Special in 1973. Preserved on YouTube for generations to come

I was in hiking pants and jeans for the last 28 days.  Shaving my legs isn't the easiest in the RV's little shower.  The razor didn't get much use.
We got home and my first real shower in the past month was glorious.  I spent 40 minutes in a hot shower with great pressure.  Oh I missed you shower.  Anyways, I got carried away with the razor after doing my legs.  #NoBushAnymore
