What is it we're supposed to know about them? If you're asking if we heard of them, yeah i have. I love this song [i think it's called] "Modern Day Cowboy". It rocks.

Wrong Tesla, not the group, the man Nikola Tesla.  He was a Russian scientist.  Atleast that is what to link is for.  This is about all I know, it is from a show called Myth Busters.

Hmmmm.... their forum seems to be buggered at the moment, but there's a bunch of aficionados of Nikola at http://forum.4hv.org when they get it running again.  A friend of mine is featured there, and I've played with High Voltage myself.  I have a rather large archive of HV info buried off on another harddrive (somewhere...)

There's all sorts of wild conspiracy theories due to the FBI raid after his death, most of which is fodder for the folks at Keelynet and other insane asylums.  You can ignore probably 90% or better of the claims they make purely due to the source.  There are quite a few GOOD books on his life and works, though.

edit: no conspiracy, his experiments at Colorado Springs burned out one of the (very expensive) generators at Hoover Dam, so they shut him down.  If you break your toys, they don't always buy you NEW toys to break.

edit two: here's a small handful of PDF books (you probably want the ones en ingles unless you speak Spanish):  http://dictaduraglobal.blogspot.com/2010/07/recopilacion-de-diarios-perdidos150.html

Some of those are the "wild shit" from the last part of his life when he was fucking nuts.  Some refer to the wireless transmission of energy, mistakenly confusing it with 'free energy'.  No such thing, as it has to be GENERATED and then transmitted, and that isn't free.  The reception would have been uncontrolled and at no cost to the end-user, but it never worked (that was the one that blew the dam).  He had some SERIOUSLY weird notions about gravity that aren't supported my any of the solid theories afterwards, so the 'antigravity' crap is just fluff and speculation.  He'd also mentioned that he could produce a 'death ray', but he never made a working model.  I suspect that's why the FBI raided his papers after his death.  The Army Corps would have loved to have a working death ray, but it was purely showmanship, not science.

It was not the incandescent light bulb that testla invented it was the Flourescent and the Neon lights for the chicago worlds fair.  He needed somne lights to work with AC because edison refused to allor any light bulbs (incandescent) or screw in bulbs (the conventional Edison style base) to be used at the fair because Niagra Falls was the prime generating facility at that time and was generating AC per Testla's patents throung Westinghouse.

Did research on the original Testla journals before they were shipped back to Yugoslavia by Nixon.  The battles between the Testla factions and the Edison factions are still being fought in the U.S. Much like Republicans and Democrats.
