Yesterday I watched a replay of the 2012 Champions League Final. It was very exciting, since Bayern Munich was, by coincidence, playing in their home stadium, and because regulation time ended with a 1-1 draw, they played the entire 30 minutes of extra time, and the match was decided with penalty kicks, which Chelsea won by coming from behind.

It was great to see all the now-retired players, like Arjen Robben (who was always one of my favorites), Franck Ribery, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole, Petr Cech, and the once and future Frank Lampard.

Okay, that has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand. But since the thread derailed itself from the first word, why not?

On the one hand, I give props to Seven Inch for albeit unintentionally, starting an interesting and amusing thread. Well, at least in its present form.

On the other hand, guys are interested in sports and cars. (Then again, many women are also interested in sports and cars, but that, I suppose, is a topic for another thread.)

So what?

Boring guys are boring, and interesting guys are interesting, and interest in cars and/or sports is utterly beside the point.

Besides, why "white guys"? Are black guys more or less interested in sports than white guys? Are Latino guys more or less interested in cars than white guys? And what about Asian guys, or Native American guys, or even Samoan guys? A fuller discussion is clearly needed here!

Well, as an old white guy, I don't care much for sports, other than follow the home teams.  A car is something to move me from point A to B.  Other than my love for kink, I guess I'm kinda boring tho'. So I fail the "stereotype" test of this thread. :facepalm:

You dare not say anything like this about other races. It's ok to say white people in any derogatory way and for some reason he felt bringing race into it was the way to go. Men in general care about 5 things. Cars. Sports. Sex. Food. Beer.

If I had started a topic "boring black guys" it would have been reported as hate speech.

Your list is out of order. It should be Sports, Sex, Beer, Food, Cars.

And that's if a big game is on. Otherwise it's Sex then Sports.
