Current viral hot spot, the WH.

It seems the racist Stephen Miller’s wife has it.  If she gives it to him and he succumbs, I may revise my interpretation of a higher power.

One of my least favorite people.

Maybe his wife is Joan.

His wife is a 25 year old hottie, which makes one wonder what’s wrong with her that she married him?  Perhaps she’s just drank more than her share of the Koolaid.

Some thoughts.

The death rate for C-19 in Illinois is around 3% of those who do get the virus. The number of deaths from those living in a nursing home in Illinois is 48% of the total deaths from C-19 in Illinois. So roughly, about 1.5% of those who do get the virus do not live in a nursing home. Yet, the governor has elected to keep the state population of those deemed non-essential indoors when almost half of those who are dying from the disease have been indoors to begin with.

Wouldn't it be more prudent to allow businesses to open but with proper precautions and get people working and feeling better of themselves?

Agreed.   We've been 'trained' for the last 7 weeks how to exist when we do go out.  Masks, wipes, distancing, etc.   Let us go out in the world and use these practices.

And, Michigan hospitals are pretty much classifying every death as Covid.   Father of one of Dan's friends passed away at his house.  Perfectly fine on Monday, he called 911 and died on the way to the hospital.  EMT told the son he was having a heart attack.   Cause of death listed as Covid19 on the death certificate.     This is the fourth case I've heard like this.
My parents friend who was in hospice on March 8th, who had been sick for the previous 6 months with untreatable cancer.  She died March 22nd.  Cause of death Covid 19.

Don't believe the numbers coming out of Michigan.

I can't speak to your numbers, but your second point gives me pause.

I understand what you're saying, and it's clear that what people crave more than anything else is "normalcy." And not that fucking "new normal."

But I'm not sure what "proper precautions" would involve and, more to the point, I don't think people will follow them, even those with good intentions. One of the most surprising things about Covid in NYC is how closely the overwhelming majority of people are following the directives. Yet even given that, things are starting to slip, you see people walking around without masks, in groups, etc.

I was out shopping today, and pretty much 95% of the people were having an “old normal” day. No face masks, no social distancing, everybody was pretty much back to business as usual. The stores were crowded, and the roads were full. We’re Texas, a red state, which means we are also known for our stupidity. And people are displaying it. Expect a big spike in about two weeks.

Katie Miller ("Steven Miller's wife", in KB speak, apparently) is Press Secretary for Vice President Pence, and is a smart and capable individual, handles her job well, and believes in what she does, is honest, and trusted.

She also enjoys her husband, and is a fervent backer of him, respects the work he does as a writer, and consultant, aide to President Trump. He is a truth teller who does not back down from a hostile media, who has a great sense of humor, and his experience is extremely helpful, for the position he holds.

He was a very quiet guy, but charismatic you know with a funny little mustache.  He hung wall paper and was an artist that painted.  Originally from Austria, he had a great affinity for Germany.

Your state is not alone.  I talked with my uncle in Georgia, and despite being about as far right as you can be and that govenor’s reopening, they are still staying home.

I expect this is what it will entail, businesses opening with distancing and mask rules in place just like the grocery stores.  But wait for the proverbial ‘flattening of the curve’, which I’m not seeing yet at all.

The other thing is, and I expect that around here, is just because businesses open, doesn’t mean that many will show up.  Some folks, myself included, are still in bunker mode.

I also can’t see restaurants and bars having any sort of distancing/mask policies that could work.

The Insurance Industry is now informing local communities, businesses, etc that if they decide to open up against a governor's mandate to be closed, and if someone happens to get injured or gets the C-19 virus, insurance companies may not pay out.

Interesting... wonder if Insurance Companies for businesses are doing a refund on personal injury policies, going back to the first week of March, until such time that each Governor or Mayor (in my case) may decide that their particular business may now open and do business with the public... Or, perhaps they have already waived payment, and extended credit to such businesses already... interesting...

Many auto insurance companies are refunding up to 25% of premiums that were due in March and April due to the sudden drop in driving.

Our former mayor is quoted as saying "Never let a crisis go to waste" so we have to take everything our local, state and federal authorities tell us with a grain of salt.

Wow. Better avoid Houston... Who knew?

The good side of this is Houston Fans can now get all the Season Tickets they want, since those older folks with morbidity stuff have passed on... so begin planning your social distanced Tail Gate Parties now.

Nice to see a pic of a Stadium with actual people in the seats, not those phony painted on "people" most NFL Stadiums have been using the past few years.
