If there have only been 56 deaths
total worldwide due to the coronavirus, then it's a pretty weak flu, especially since it's primarily in areas with
less-than-stellar medical services. Hell, we've had 54 kids die from the various strains of A and B influenza here in the US this season. I don't know what the
actual mortality rate is for the coronavirus, but I see it's WAY less than the media hype comparing it to the
1918 Spanish Flu.
News reporters can't do basic math.
We had a *free* Flu Shot day at work in October, and only 6% of the employees got vaccinated.
Today nearly a third of the folks at work either HAVE it or HAD it in the last month, and
none of us that got the shot have been infected. The shot was apparently effective, but under-utilized.
