Despite my concerted attempts to become a dirty old man most sexual innuendoes in music go over my head.  So what are the songs that you didn't realize were full of innuendoes until it was pointed out to you?

"Pull Up To The Bumper" may not be the most subtle, but I didn't get it until someone told me to concentrate on the lyrics.

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

I guess as a life long pervert, very few double entendres go over my head.  It’s called “sex drugs and rock ‘n roll” for a reason.  Most songs are about sex, sexual desire, sexual conquest, etc.

But “Pull up to the Bumper” was released in 1981.  39 years ago.  You may be old if you remember it.  I do.

Don't know if innuendo applies, but the hottest song for me comes from 1958. (Sorry, know most of you weren't born then)

It just drips sex and even at my young age and inexperience I knew it was the hottest thing I'd ever heard and nothing since has come even close.

What was it???  Well kids, it was from the great Peggy Lee and the song is "Fever".

Well trained and been made compliant....by my cat Neville

"Back Door Man" was another that went over my head the first time I heard it.

AFTERNOON DELIGHT

I remember hearing it for the first time and thought how much I enjoyed the melody.  And then a few years later we were camping with two other families and the kids decided to put on a camp fire talent show for the parents. And I sang this.
I was 13, I had no idea what it meant.

Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel

I am sure he is not singing about working at a construction site.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.

"Back Door Man" was another that went over my head the first time I heard it.

I assume you realize this song is not about anal sex, but rather, a woman whose husband goes out the front door of the house to work every day, and whose lover comes in the back door after her husband has left.

One of my favorite Buddy Guy songs riffs, in a very humorous way, on the same theme:

"Sometimes the best things in life are a hot girl and a cold beer."

Though the innuendo isn't exactly subtle, this song was recorded in 1934:

"Sometimes the best things in life are a hot girl and a cold beer."

Where Life Begins by Madonna...

Everybody's talkin' 'bout
Wanting that and needing this
I'd just like to know
If you want to learn a different kind of kiss

So won't you, go down
Where it's warm inside, go down
Where I cannot hide, go down
Where all life begins, go down
That's where my love is

"Hit me with your rythm stick " Ian Dury and the blockheads. I don't think he meant a drumstick.

Thanks for the video link.

The Starland Vocal Band did the backing vocals on John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads". Tammy Nivert (who co-wrote the song) and her friends switch between singing in unison with John, then dropping a third to give a lovely texture to the sound.

My favourite morning song has to be "Morning Much Better" by Genya Ravan with Ten Wheel Drive. Not afternoon delight but:

Quote
". . . the afternoon is a no-count time
'Cos I've got my business to do
Well I could probably function
For a little conjunction
But I usually like it in the morning much better."

Cat Scratch Fever-Ted Nugent (lyrics from second half of the song)

Well, I make the pussy purr with the stroke of my hand
They know they gettin' it from me
They know just where to go when they need their lovin' man
They know I'm doin' it for free

I give them cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
They got a bad scratch fever
The cat scratch fever
