Haha, nope.   I need liquid courage to do that.  I wasnt drinking.

Which made me think about telling someone my last drink was on NYE, when in fact it was that Lions game with Tampa.  So I lied to that someone, by mistake.  So, yeah, news alert to every one else..:  I quit drinking for a bit.   Taking a timeout from it for the foreseeable future.  Not that I was overdoing it or anything, but kind of a doctors orders thing.
If I were to stop drinking for good, well I'd feel guilty about all those bottles in the basement that were expecting for me to drink them.  And I just couldn't do that to them.  I went down and told them we're taking a break for a bit.  They said they will wait for me.

Back on topic:  The Lions lost, but the city is so proud of these guys.   Nothing but praise for the season they gave us.  What a ride.   And a fun fact about these guys.  8 of their starters ar under the age of 23.  Such a young team. And to perform like they did?!  I can't wait for next year.

This is a can't-sleep kinda night so here I am.

I didn't know that the Lions have never been to the Superbowl.  That might have swung my invaluable and influential support towards them.

According to an Associated Press story, a player that has gone to the NFL from Alabama has never scored a single point in a Super Bowl.

The top five schools with point scorers in a Super Bowl:

84 points -- Miami (Florida)
82 points -- Florida
81 points -- Penn State
66 points -- Notre Dame
66 points -- California (Berkeley)

The author did emphasize that the list only included those who went from Alabama to the NFL. There could have been players who played at Alabama, transferred to another school and went pro from there.

If you're interested, this article shows (as of December 12, 2023)  Alabama has sent 420 players to the NFL, sixth highest after Notre Dame (623), USC (550), Ohio State (527), Michigan (446), and Penn State (427).

Taylor Swift has become a huge economic force. Her ERAs tour generated billions of dollars for the 20 cities she performed in. For each city it was the equivalent of hosting the Super Bowl.

Now the NFL and Chiefs are reaping the benefits of her relationship with Travis Kelce. When it was first learned about their relationship sales of his jersey jumped 400 percent. Viewership of the games is also up with a new audience of mostly young women tuning in.

It's easy to predict that this year's Superbowl will break records in.viewership. Rock on Taylor

I found the Swifties annoying at first, but she’s grown on me.

I think the NFL sees a new fan base in the young women and girls who are watching football, perhaps for the first time. Viewership, merchandise, and ticket sales are all up.

And I think Swift and Kelce have handled themselves with maturity and grace. Setting a good example on how to behave in public. Don’t plan to see another Depp vs. Heard in their future.

Have always loved her. Still do.   I talk a bit about her here on KB, but try not to overdo it.  She is a marketing genius and the city of Detroit benefited greatly in June of last year during her two night stint.

I hate that 'some' try and knock her down.  I saw a video recently that I will look for.  I will share it.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzOUXB3gpZJ/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Many people cannot stand it when others succeed. The internet has made it much easier to put down others without having to face the person. Many of these stars and professionals have only a small window of time to make their fame and money. It's not like they are being given the money.

Not a swiftie, but the chick has class. And she don't like Trump. Read where she tidys up the box she is invited to at the games and is freely tipping staff at the stadium $100 bills. At one of her concerts, security was hassleing one of the female fans and Swift stopped singing to tell them to leave the girl alone.

Dad says he isn't going to watch the superbowl. He says he has grown a dislike to swift, and it isn't even her fault. He never had an opinion of her or her music until now. He "wants football, and not shots of her every 10 minutes." "If I want to watch Taylor swift, I'd go see her concert." "You think guys are buys swift tickets in hopes to get Kelce's autograph?" "a team I hate vs Taylor swift isn't somthing I'm interested in."

All that talking, and now I've got to make double the meatballs for the superbowl party. I think I'm gonna order him a The ERA tour shirt!

One of my favorite swift moments was when she was on woth Jimmy Fallon, and they were playing a game. The band played a snippet of music and they had to guess the song. She was getting them all, but she then didn't recognize her own song.

Think she will be a part of the halftime show?

She is taking a red eye flight in from Japan. She can’t rehearse. No way she’d risk an injury or vocal strain. She has adamantly declared she will not participate in the halftime show.

She will have some spicy meatballs with Daddy on the back porch.

She's just barely going to make the game and that's due to the time difference and crossing the international date line.

With all the money she's helped pour into the NFL through increased interest from her fan base they may give her part ownership of the Chief's. ;D

They will pan up to her in the box during the show at least once. It does not matter where she is, if there is music, she will be up dancing. One of many reasons I love her. Could be the swankiest of award shows, she will dance in the aisle if there is music.

She is taking a lot of attention away from the Chiefs, and the 49ers actually.  The teams must love that.

I heard Taylor Swift’s boyfriend is playing at the Usher Concert this weekend.
