Sorry Bob. I watched the whole game for you. Sad.

Bills won.
Jaguars staged 3rd biggest comeback in playoff history.
San Fran’s Purdy continues to amaze.

My big game is tomorrow. Waiting to see if the hapless Cowboys can beat the hapless Buccaneers. Brady’s looking long in the tooth.

Minnesota teams all just choke when they get to the playoffs. Doesn't matter the sport.

We all had hopes of course, but there was no surprise at the loss.

Fun facts about America's Team.

Cowboys are 0-7 against Brady. Maybe 8th time will be the charm?

Twenty-seven years and counting since Dallas won a Super Bowl.

Jones paid $150-million when he bought the team. The franchise now has an estimated worth of $8-billion.

That is truly the amazing fact that makes up for a lot of mediocre years. Jones doesn’t give a shit.

Every time there's a big collapse or comeback in the post-season, they have to slap us Houston fans with the Buffalo disaster.
It gets old.
At least we no longer hold the record for that in the regular season.

Look at the bright side.  At least your collapse didn't happen in the last half of the Super Bowl.  28-3 will live on in infamy.

Oh, and Matt Ryan was the QB for both that game and the 33 point lead the Colts blew this year.

Tom Brady shut out in the first half. That hasn’t happened since his first playoff game in 2001.

I don’t think the Cowboys are that good. But the Buccaneers are looking that bad.

Dan must be jealous of Tommy.
He is not watching the game.
But he always watches an NFL game if we're just sitting around.
He must not want me sitting alongside him on the couch while having dirty thoughts about the man on the TV.

- update -
I just told him, he said, "FUCK, I forgot."
Yeah, right. I'm gonna go slip into something more comfortable to watch the rest of the game. Maybe put a blanket over me so nobody can see what I'm doing while watching the goat.
Ya know I'm his good luck charm.  2nd half comeback about to happen with me watching.

I'm sitting in my futon getting ready to put my shower buddy to work to finish what Allan hadn't, and I get a text from my dad Dallas won... mood fucking killed instantly.

He doesn't care about dallas, he just wants McCarthy to win the superbowl.

Jules, sorry about your Tommy boy and his team losing last night. His this his farewell game. He's had quite the career and I'm sure he'll receive special recognition down the road.

Hoping Dan soothed any disappointment you had over losing what may have been his last game. ;D :emot_kiss:

I think the two turnovers and missed field goal in the first quarter pretty much sealed the Cowboys fate against the 49’ers last night.

We pretty much all had our hopes elevated this season, only to be dashed on the rocks. And isn’t that the way it is every season? And every year I swear I won’t do it again next year. And then every year I do it again.

We all have plenty to celebrate. All of our teams (Lions, Bears, Vikings, Green Bay, Cowboys) had some great games and some not so great games. They all overcame expectations of failure and went pretty far down the road with things. So I’m calling the season a success. The Cowboys haven’t won the Super Bowl since 1995.

Seeing the Vikings do so well in the regular season almost made me a football fan. We even turned on the final few minutes of the playoff game. Sports are just never turned on in our house.

There was that hometown spirit that wanted to see them win. Alas was not to be. Like the Twins and the Wild it's one and done when they do make the playoffs.

There's big hopes for next year tho'.

Maybe this should go in the TIL thread.  I knew American Football has a Hail Mary, only just found out it also has a TouchDown Jesus

Maybe this should go in the TIL thread.  I knew American Football has a Hail Mary, only just found out it also has a TouchDown Jesus

The mural's image of Jesus, visible from Notre Dame's football stadium, has arms raised in the same fashion as a referee signifying a touchdown. From this similarity came the mural's nickname, Touchdown Jesus. A stadium expansion partially obscures views of the mural from the field.

Eagles vs Chiefs in this year's Super Bowl.

If Mahome's ankle heals, it will be a close game.  Eagles are 1 1/2 pt favorites.

There is a lot of skill on both sides of this game. Eagles have enjoyed home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Let’s see how they do in Arizona. I’m rooting for Kansas City. Because there’s a certain Kansas City girl I have the hots for. I don’t think she’ll fuck me with the win, but it gives me an excuse to send her a nice message. And some dick pics.

After green bay choked, I was rooting for Dallas because there is a certain person from Texas who I would have liked to celebrate with on the back porch. But after they blew it, I was kind of hoping for the Bengals because I had a friend from back in the Army who was Bengals fanatic. But to be perfectly honest it didnt really matter to me as long as San Fran lost making my dad happy!
