Most of the focus was all about missed plays. Two missed interceptions and that missed field goal. Not to mention the refs doing their part. Did was so mad about that placement that lost Green Bay the Ball early on.

As always, I'm glad to have my sundays back and don't have to worry about finding somebody to switch shifts with me.

Please tell someone I am at the KOA near the cabin with my Sybian and some smooth bourbon. What an incredible game by the Lions. Everyone in the room was cheering on TB, but hell, Brady is gone, and this may be the best Lions team in 70 years.

The Lions played good football.  They need to bring their A game though, when they play the 49ers.

Bills - Chiefs game pretty even at half.

Food for thought for our Cowboy fans.

In 1995, Jerry Jones "made a deal with god" that said if the Cowboys won Super Bowl 30, he'd never ask to win the Super Bowl again. They haven't made it past the divisional round since.   Per NFL Network

Hahaha

The three of us had to go in to town because our internet wasn't working.   How fun watching with an entire bar full of people.  One guy was buying drinks for the whole place.  He came and sat with us for a bit.  Then the Lions scored again and he jumped up and yelled "another round", and then went to the bartender, who was already trying to catch up on serving the previous round.   It was chaotic.  What a party.  Barb, myself and 5 other ladies may have ended up dancing on the bar shortly after the game ended. Single Ladies was on first.  Then Baby Got Back.  The bartender talked 6 of us into dancing one more, with free drinks for the rest of the night if we danced to Save a Horse Ride A Cowboy.

So much fun watching a football game. Somehow I get the feeling our Jules and Barb instigated the dancing on the bar fun.

OK... now that Rick's Bear's, Shiela's Packers, Toe's Texas team are all out of it the Lions just picked up some more fans. We KBers need to stick together.  Naturally the fact that Jules will be providing her top shelf Bourbon has nothing to do with anything. :D

That means boos are heading my way.  The proximity support meter leads me to support the 49ers first and Ravens second.

Cowboys hatred of the 49’ers is well known. Have to cheer for the Ravens. That is Jed’s hometown also.

KC and Mahomes would not be denied. Decisive win on the road against #1 seed Baltimore. Kelce gets some Swifty tonight.

And the Lions completely dominated the 49ers in the first half. Hope they do the same in the second half. Go Lions.

If they make it to the Super Bowl, I want the Lions to re-sign Barry Sanders and bring him on for at least one play  ;D

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Brock Purdy threw for 267 yards and a touchdown, and the San Francisco 49ers rallied from 17 points down at halftime to beat the Detroit Lions 34-31 on Sunday and reach the Super Bowl.

The 49ers (14-5) scored 17 points in an eight-minute span of the third quarter to tie the NFC championship game and then pulled away in the fourth quarter to earn a rematch against Kansas City after losing to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl four years ago.

San Francisco mounted the fourth comeback ever from 17 points down or more in a conference title game thanks to some big plays by Purdy and bad mistakes from the Lions (14-6), including two failed fourth downs in field-goal range. Detroit fell short of reaching the first Super Bowl in franchise history.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs broke the Josh Allen curse. Before Sunday, no team that had beaten Josh Allen's Bills in a playoff game had won their very next game.

So, does Lamar Jackson still win the MVP?

including two failed fourth downs in field-goal range. Detroit fell short of reaching the first Super Bowl in franchise history.

Those two field goals likely would have given the Lions a win, assuming both were successful, but at this point that's only speculation.  The same could be said of the Lions touchdown that was negated by a holding penalty.

The Lion's coach gambled twice on fourth down and lost both times. Should have gone for the "sure" points.  Jared Goff did not look as sharp as he did in the first half, which could be due to the 49ers putting more pressure on him.  Looks like the Super Bowl is shaping up to be a good game.

With both the Lions and Packers advancing into the playoffs, the Bears have a long way to go to catch up to them.

So disappointing.

We dropped off the littlest one at a friends house and we went downtown yesterday.  Arrived at a bar near the stadium at 12:00 so that we could have good seats.   The bar has a big projector screen that comes down over the stage.   BUT, the game wasn't for 6 hours.   I was the designated driver.  Dan took it easy with the beer, but 'M' and her three friends did not.  Neither did the guy friends they had come meet up with us.   Those 6 hours before the game had a GREAT band out of Nashville playing.  We were dead center, front row.   My ears are still ringing.
The atmosphere in the bar during the first half was second to none.  Elbow-to-elbow people.  Young people.  Dan and I were the oldest people in there.

On both 4th downs that they didn't make it, Dan said they should kick the field goal.  They didn't.  Would they have won?  Maybe.
Dropped passes didn't help either.   That whole 3rd quarter was just 'UGH'!
It was a great year.
After the game is when the fights started.  All those young people with too much to drink and wanting to take their disappointment out on other people by fighting.  Really put a damper on a fun day.  Regardless of the loss it was a fun day up until the point.  Well, other than late in the 3rd quarter a full 32 ounce beer getting tipped over on the table and about 31 of those ounces hitting me squarely in the crotch area.   Yes, I got very wet watching that game.  Had to shower when we got home at 12:30am.

My ears are still ringing 12 hours later.
