Personally we are in the slippery slope, when a free speech forum begins to suppress free speech.  I approve removal of extreme pedo.  Long overdue.  But hurtful speech in 1408 is what 1408 is all about.

I've no problem with 1408 and politics going away.  The mods won't like it because they will have to police a lot more shit and probably set discernable rules in place for incivility.

The question there is would the rules be applied consistently.  At times now they are not.

Wow, I haven't heard the Hives in years! I recall back around 2001 have a heated discussion with a friend who was a Green Day fan about how the Hives were superior to Green Day in almost every respect. She didn't change her mind one iota, but I walked away with a feeling of superiority.
