To my way of thinking, a professional sports hall of fame should be about an athlete's career on the field, not their personal life.
If there are going to be moral standards applied, where does the line get drawn? Murder, domestic abuse, cheating on taxes? How about being a blatant racist or a womanizer?
If everyone elected to the hall of fame had been subject to moral standards, even of their own era, there would be a lot fewer people enshrined there.
