Nat. Learn To Swim Day:
I once heard it said that, "Swimming is staying alive in the water."
That describes my "style" of working at staying on top of the water where there's air.
That said, I have done many scuba dives. Once I heard someone ask one of the divemasters how important it was to be a good swimmer if you were going diving. She said the people they had the most trouble training were good swimmers. They're trained to stay on the surface...the opposite of scuba diving.
No wonder I liked. Going down was easy for me. (No pun was intended but it's KB, so I'll let it stand.)
