Just a statement of fact.  There were people around me who were so obviously in love with Obama just because he was black that anyone who questioned his policies were considered racist.  I could name several family members and former friends, but of course anonymity prevents it here.  I would say something about his pushing through healthcare without allowing people to have a look at it, going against a campaign promise, and people like my mother-in-law would say, "Well, you're just a racist, that's all..." Just an example. 

Why would anyone bring up race unless it was an issue for them?
Obviously my criticism of Obama as a president was something personal to them, and it translated to them, for some reason, as racism, whereas if I criticized the policies of any other president, people would just agree or disagree or whatever.

No, that's not a statement of fact, that's your opinion on their state of mind, and their motives behind their feelings.  As if you know their feelings, and the motives behind their political stance better than they do.

Are these people around you your friends?  You do have friends, right?  If nobody around you is your friend, or is willing to say how they really feel, then the single common denominaor between ALL of those interactions is you.

Either that, or you're exaggerating, and it's not "Everybody," or you're exaggerating, and they're not all "In love with him," or more likely, you're the only one who cares "Because he's black."

"I don't want to sound racist, but,"  It's "Because he's black."  Both of those statements sound kinda racist, especially when you're talking about your friends, behind their backs.

have you considered that if you oppose Obama, and do not itemize your disagreements with him on policy, it is quite reasonable to believe you base your disagreement on other criteria? And the most common criteria in many peoples experience is his race.

Who, "everyone Around" him, "Because he's black?"  Everyone around him is allegedly reverse racist.  Everyone.

Except him.

Lets look at his statement, and assume the absurdity is true.  We only have to take his word for it, that he asked everyone around him "Why do you love Obama so much" and the only answer any of them gave him was "Because he's black."

Listen.  I feel I have made it clear I always gave my reasons for opposing Obama, that I had problems with his policies and the way he implemented them.  Basically, I told other people I found nothing special about him, that once he was elected he was just another politician going back on promises.  There were people around me who acted like he was the second coming.  I knew he wasn't.  That was all.  I never said he was horrible.  I just questioned their perception of him, therefore they perceived me as a racist.  It was their only "rational" conclusion.  Don't tell me you don't remember the electric atmosphere when he became president.
