Polls will open one week before Valentine's Day (Feb. 7th) and we'll vote for one week, with the poll closing at midnight on February 14.

Well, I don't want to win by default, but Here is one with the non-romantic aspects pretty much guaranteed to piss off any potential voters.  

Someone once told me I'm about as "Romantic as a dead fish."  Here's hoping someone else can come up with something better.  Unless you want SSBMs to be dominated by the 1 author nobody can understand.

Remmy did nothing more than encourage Ms. CJ to grace us with one of her masterpieces AND remind her that whether she wins or not will depend on those of us who read the entries and take the time to cast a vote the week before Valentines Day. Don't be putting words in Remmy's mouth.

Now, I personally have never written a story to specific parameters, at least not since creative writing class in high school. Besides that, I don't do romance, having had so little experience with it in real life.

What I write about is... what's that phrase I've heard... oh yeah, gratuitous sex... and lots of it (sort of like some of CJ's posts ). Okay, so I don't have all that much experience in that area either.

I suppose I could give it a shot, I guess. One never knows what they're capable of unless they try. Expanding horizons and all that crap.

Okay fine. Challenge accepted. Give me a few days to see what I can come up with, you sneaky old so-and-so.

It took a little longer than I expected, but I've posted my story for the contest. As always any thoughts you have (if you read it) are welcome, be they pro or con. Honest criticism doesn't offend me.

Okay, forget that. Go read my story Movie Night and don't forget to come back the week before Valentines Day and vote. If no one else votes, I could win by default.

PS: I had more trouble choosing a title than I did writing the story. First I called it Passing Ships, then changed that to Movie Night. Then it was Just In Case and finally Purple Polar Bears. In the end I went back and settled on Movie Night.

I loved the part about the Purple Polar Bears.  As for Titles, Movie Night is sufficient, but Valentines could be worked in.  It doesn't really matter what you call it, I guess.  "Theater of Desire" sounds enough like a bodice ripper.  Honestly, just posting a story in SSBM, and not being me is probably enough to stand out at this point.
