UEFA pulling the Championship finals out of Russia.

Arsenal beat the Wolves 2-1 on Thursday after trailing them most of the game.  The battle for fourth spot in the EPL continues.

A fortunate 90+5 minutes og gave the Arse all three points.  >:(

ManCity beat Everton, 1-0  today to go up by 6 points over Liverpool.  A handball call in the 18 yd box against ManCity was mysteriously negated to an offside against Everton.

There were several dodgy VAR calls this weekend. What's the point if they still get the calls wrong?

I agree. Before VAR, fans booed the ref or cried the fix was in. VAR was supposed to stop this.  Just made it more confusing, as witness the commentators of the ManCity match who were as confused as the spectator with the call.

I can understand that some can be open to interpretation, but from a neutral perspective, that was clear and blatant, and I'm at a loss what possible reason there could be for not giving a penalty

You won't see a better 0-0 than Chelsea .v. Liverpool last Sunday. Although I ended up on the losing side I thought it was a great game and consider the result 3 offsides to 1 in favour of Chelsea  ;D

I read where the penalty shootout went down to the goalkeeper winning the match. I have only seen that once before.

Big match this Saturday with the Manchester Derby.

Liverpool's goalkeeper started his footballing life as a striker. Chelsea's took his like a goal kick, so high and wide it may have activated Putin's air defence system.

Heard today that the Russian owner of the Chelsa football club will now sell the team.

Does anyone have a few billion dollars to spare?  ;D

I read something where he supposedly is pledging to donate the profits of the sale to Ukranian victims. Considering he paid 'only' a few hundred million, that should end up being a really nice sum if he follows through.

ManU embarrassed themselves in the Manchester Derby this past Sunday. Their defense is in shambles. No communication between the backs.  ManCity looks like a complete team.

I've already cleared my schedule so I can watch the Man U v. Spurs match on Saturday afternoon.

You never know which Spurs side will show up: The one that beat Man City a couple of weeks ago, or the one that lost embarrassingly to Southampton and Burnley in recent weeks (and got knocked out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough).

A Spurs victory this weekend will leapfrog them into 5th place on the table, and their next six matches are all against teams that they should defeat (Brighton, West Ham, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brighton (again), and Brentford).

Alas, this season matches against teams they "should beat" haven't consistently translated into victories.

I think Man U's big problem is that the owners don't care what happens on the pitch as long as the money is coming in, and the rest of the team doesn't care what happens on the pitch as long as the old timers can circle jerk about United DNA and the players can post selfies

Scholes was saying that he doesn't know why Rangnick was hired when Rangnick has never coached an elite club before. Hey, I thought it was great initially when they hired OGS and I bought into the hype for the first few months, but how was OGS any more qualified than Rangnick, and yet I never heard Scholes or any other former Man U player voice such a concern. No, for them it was great, Ole at the wheel..

And Liverpool lost at home today for the first time in over a year, losing to InterMilan in the UEFA Cup playoffs but still advanced on aggregate goals, 2-1.

Rangnick was hired as an interim because of his reputation as a "theoretical" coach.  His methods are supposed to have inspired other successful coaches such as Klopp, Tuchel and Nagelsmann.
This article also includes Marsch who has just taken over at Leeds
