He still has a way to go to beat the all time UK record of 66 in a season and the European record of 73 in a season.

Dixie Dean and Lionel Messi respectively.

 ;D

True! I suspect he will end up with 60 goals, depending upon how many FA Cup and Champions League games are left for City. I think he is currently sitting in 45 goals in 39 games. Will be fun to watch!

Did anyone have a good day yesterday? Chelsea lost to Brighton, though at least Potter didn't have to suffer through that. Tottenham lost to Bournemouth. ...and then not only did Newcastle finally lose, it was a 0-3 against Aston Villa.  :'(

I suppose there was at least City for aussierules and to keep the title race a little more interesting.  ;D

Thanks! Yes, I was happy to get the three points over Leicester and wait to see the Arsenal result today. Many thanks to the Hammers for making it a draw, the title race gets more interesting each and every week! I don’t think we play again in the PL until Arsenal at home on the 26th - which very well might decide the title!

Chelsea performance yesterday was absolutely dire, possibly the worst in over 50 years of watching them. It was an experimental "you won't be playing against Real Madrid" team selection, but never the less no team spirit.  I almost felt like applauding Brighton at the end for their all round team performance.

Away fans - "we hate Potter more than you do"  ;D

At least Spurs went all Spursy again (sorry MissB)  ;D ;D

There goes Chelsea in Europe... that only leaves Man City. Not that I could see Bayern get back into anyway, but I wonder if Mane is playing today? The Bayern attack would pack much less of a punch without him  :emot_laughing:

Sorry

Too bad, I was hoping for the opposite, i.e. Milan derby in the final or Man City vs Real Madrid in the final. Oh, well..

My brother is in Italy at the moment, and says everyone was very disappointed.

Yeah, it could have been an epic final. On the bright side, when you also consider the Europa League, Italy has more teams remaining in European competitions right now than any other country. Interesting how having the most money doesn't always translate into have the most success.

Me, too.

However, the final will be played in Istanbul, and having the Milan derby played in their shared stadium makes it exciting.

Agreed.  ;D

Looks like Arsenal dropped points again, and I'm thinking back to Newcastle blowing a 12-point lead in 1996. Is Arteta the new Keegan  :emot_laughing:

Speaking of Newcastle, playing Tottenham tomorrow  :'(

City move on to the FA Cup Final! The first side to reach the Cup Final without conceding a goal since Everton in 1966. The hat trick by Mahrez was the first in a semifinal since 1958. Well done, Blues!

Rough day for Spurs, picture taken of Harry Kane after the first 30 minutes!

And Stellini becomes the first interim manager in the PL to be sacked. Was worried it might be Lampard (only because of how foolish Boehly and Co. would look).

I was going to say, I don't remember ever hearing of an interim manager getting the sack  :emot_weird:

Highly doubt that this will make any manager more eager to work for Tottenham

In the last 20 years Spurs have had 10 managers.  Between them those 10 managers have won 61 trophies in those 20 years but only one trophy has been won while at Spurs.  Maybe Levy is the problem.

Not really an Arsenal fan, but it's kind of disappointing to see them melt down. Three draws and a loss in their last five matches, and I'm sure that loss to Man City isn't going to help their form.

Also, how time flies. I was going to say, it's weird seeing Leicester down in the relegation zone, after they just won the title, but that's actually seven years ago now.
