Finally, a game that lived up to the pre-game hype!  :sign_wow:

FOUR lead changes just in the fourth quarter.

105 points. 1001 yards total offense.

Most enjoyable game I've seen in a long time.

Go Rams! Go Chiefs! Go Saints!

Remmy

What the heck, Go Lions!  ;)

Mark came to bed, woke me up and said excitedly, "I won my fantasy football game."  He tried to explain it was because of the game he had just watched.

I half listened, letting him finish and said, "You're a loser."

He's lucky I didn't bop him on the head.

Yes, Remmy, Go Lions!   Beat Watcher Bare.... I mean beat Watcher's Bears

Kansas City is the first team in NFL history to score 50 points and lose. Monday night's game reminded me of the SEC footballs games - great passing games, a lot of scoring and some defense.

MJ - Da Bears are for real. But they have to play the Rams on a Sunday night in three weeks.

Rams and New Orleans are the top two teams now.

I predict that both teams that eventually make it to the Super Bowl will have at least 3 losses.

I further predict that there will be no Lions or Tigers or Bears (oh my!) in the 2019 Super Bowl.  ;D

Sounds like the honeymoon is over.  :(

Remmy

Sorry, just kidding. Picturing you bopping him on the head just struck me as funny.

Hahaha, no, the honeymoon isn't over.   He does get excited about his football though.   I knew it before I said yes.  My daddy likes football and it gets him over to my house every Sunday if not more often.  It' all good as I love everybody coming over.

"There always is next year" is a common saying in Chicago.  ;D

No biggy.  I will cheer for the Lions when they make the playoffs.  Until then, I'm a Tom Brady and New England fan as I have been every year since he first took over for New England.   He's a U of Michigan boy, that's the main reason I like him.

For some reason I had it in my head that it was Jed who said "Da Bears are for real". Sorry about that Watcher, I corrected my post to thumb my nose at you instead of him.  :emot_laughing:

PS: A lot of other towns are intimately acquainted with "There's always next year." Right Julie?

WHEN they make the playoffs?

I like your confidence. Or at least your optimism.  :D

New England did a nice job the other day with that win.
Really close but they pulled it off.
Patriots 43  /// Chiefs 40
Patriots headed for Kansas City.

Love,
Liz

As long as it is only your nose you are thumbing at me... ;D

The forecasted temps for the start of the KC-New England game Sunday night is -5 degrees. Short passes and many running plays will be the order I am guessing.

Seems I missed some nose thumbing.

Hoping for a KC vs. NO Super Bowl with KC on top.  Otherwise, anybody but the Patriots to win it all.

Arrowhead Field is heated, and Mahomes beat the Colts with 6 inches of snow on the ground last week.  Chiefs all the way.  This should be their year.

The Chiefs were founded by Lamar Hunt, who moved his Dallas Texans to Kansas City in 1963, after the NFL gave a Dallas franchise to Clint Murchinson instead of him.  That franchise became the Dallas Cowboys.  The Dallas Texans subsequently became the KC Chiefs.

Lamar Hunt was the son of H. L. Hunt, at one time considered the wealthiest man in America, and an inspiration for “J. R. Ewing” of “Dallas” television fame. When informed that Lamar’s Dallas Texans had lost $1 million in their first year, H. L. commented, “At that rate, they’ll only last another 100 years.”

Dallas football trivia for you.

Your feeble attempt to connect the Kansas City Chiefs to Texas will not taint them in my eyes!   ;D

Only if you were rooting for Lions or Bears.

That would be a good match-up, but so would KC-LA with 2 of the top next generation quarterbacks going at it.
