All I keep hearing about is november 12 that Disney starts streaming

There's another actual movie out in December (Rise of Skywalker), and it's starting to get hard to avoid the trailers.

I'm rather annoyed that Mandolorian is being restricted to Disney...

it is similar to netflix   subscribe and binge watch once the series is all loaded.   one month is 7 dollars
We only do netflix in winter months
Disney, Dan got a deal on   3 years 140 I think.   less than 4 dollars a month

I have to have satellite TV because we get no terrestrial signal, plus Netflix and Amazon Prime...

It all adds up!

Streaming huh?  We just got Netflix as part of our cable subscription, and how I work that is I nudge my Peruvian and she finds things by talking to the remote.  Sometimes I have to help her with pronunciation, but she still has the remote.

Lately it’s just been Peruvian variety shows and Mexican soaps.  At least both contain some mighty fine Latinas showing lots of legs, cleavage and belly buttons.  OK, maybe the belly buttons are on the variety show only, the soaps at least pretend to dress them somewhat conservatively.

I absolutely despise the Food Network’s “Pioneer Woman” show.  It’s like a food show for people who think Duck Dynasty is high entertainment.  It is everything I can’t stand about right wing America, without saying it.  Everyone is white, wearing camo or red, white & blue, sipping lemonade and thanking God for this great country of ours.  And I also despise Ree Drummond.

Her daughter on the show got busted DUI this year, so she sent her off to a Missouri “Christian Camp” for rehab, which was also the site of numerous sex allegations involving the molestation of teenage boys.  Celebrate that.

The show comes on before Bobby Flay, so my DVR picks up a couple of minutes.  About all I can stomach.  #whyifuckrussians #isthatrealredhair #STFU

Never heard of it, but "Pioneer" is American for expansionist invader.  We like to romanticize the subjugation of this continent (Especially in November) but Cowboys, and Indians was basically re-enacting masscres, and genocides.  A lot of our Heros, Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone...

Remember the Alamo?  Well, what did they build that Mission/fort there for, in the first place?  For the Spanish to convert the heathens to Catholicism, then fight the English over someone else's land.

Not one of the 6 flags belonged to any of the Plains tribes, nor the Appalacian tribes that were forced to march here, following the "Pioneers."    So, I'm not surprised their kitchen is filled with thinly vieled white supremacists.

People say “Well you don’t love America.  If you don’t like ‘Pioneer Woman,’ move someplace else.”

1.  Many of my ancestors came here in the early 1700’s, before there was an “America.”  So why don’t you go somewhere else?

2.  I don’t love your “Fantasy America” that is white, bigoted, nationalistic, and speaks with God daily.

3.  I love the *real* America... dirty, teeming, sinful, and a patchwork quilt of races, nationalities, religions, and creeds.  I celebrate that.

If you don't love King George III, and the Anglican Church, move somewhere else!

We are reliving the madness of King George right now.  I used to be an Episcopalian, before I went Orthodox.

Me too!

I don't love, or hate America.  I love some Americans, and I hate some of what we've done.

You're right. This America is way better than the America of 60 or so years ago. Those bigoted racists didn't lock their doors at night, have security systems and guns. Now we need all those things, 911 on speed dial and we dare not go into parts of cities we could once walk at night and not be afraid of being raped or murdered.

Welcome to America! It's so much better now than then.  :D

You are allowed to have a lesbian wife, lesbian lovers, adopt children, run a housing camp, and live a “normal” life.  Which most certainly would not have been possible, or at least legal, 60 years ago.

First of all, I don't know how many times I've said the "L" word would get you in trouble here.  And second of all, I never said anything about ever wanting to get married.

CJ woulda been just fine without the marriage part.

In fact CJ woulda been fine without any of it.  :D

So that kinda doesn't work with me. If I could trade a hot Asian girl for not having to have an expensive security system... ok, I'd keep her, but it's close.  ;D

I don’t own a weapon, don’t lock my doors or windows, and I leave the car unlocked.  I don’t have a security system in my house, Alexa doesn’t live with me, and I don’t have a video doorbell.  I could walk 30 miles in any direction of my home and not be fearful for my safety.  And I’m not a bigoted racist.  May be a coincidence, or just a happy circumstance.

Which is why this is just so much more bigoted stereotyping, at least by you.

You have a perception of this, but not an actual experience.  So you want to “make America great again,” when your America is purportedly fine.  White bread racists, bitching and moaning about America going to hell, while they order home delivery on their smart phones.  I just don’t get it.
