If we're fighting against "Social Justice," then that's the kind I'm against.  Fighting for it, Violently.  I can't call feminists "Warriors," because they don't use Violence.  That's my definition, "Social Justice" is one thing, but a Warrior uses Violence.

MLK didn't, so I'd say that Malcolm X might be a better example.

I can't speak for everyone who uses this term, neither positively nor negatively, but I'm pretty sure the word "warrior" is used in a metaphorical, and not literal, way.

I don't really follow professional basketball, but I'm pretty sure that the Golden State Warriors have never killed nor committed an act of violence against anyone.

This is the popular image of a Social Justice Warrior:

If that's what a Social Justice Warrior looks like, then I support Social Justice Warriors 100%.

I always assumed it was ironic, and Demeaning.  The Men (Not counting the women) who use it that way, against feminazis are all the type that Assert Power.  So, it always seemed to me that they're calling them "Warriors" to lampshade how powerless they are with words, against men who can simply overpower them with Violence.

Words like "No, stop!"  I didn't just ask Chirpy about it, I've also done a lot of research, and been puzzled by this bullshit showing up in my recommended videos.  The "SJWs" that are ruining everything are women, and the childhoods being ruined are little boys'.

As an insult, it's pretty universally sexist.  Show me 1 man that's popularly called a SJW.  Milo Yiannopoulos, does he fit the definition?  Why, or why not?  What does he do that eliminates him from the set of {SJW}s?

That's what I'm asking here.  Where do we draw the line, and why does it seem to be drawn with a penis?

CJ uses “SJW” as a trolling term, to see who she can agitate.

That makes sense.  Hopefully she'll be equally entertained when she gets back.

Imagine inventing an implausible fantasy life for yourself to lie about to strangers that's so boring even you get bored of it and agitate people instead.

That pretty much sums it up, doesn’t it?

Stop hating on my ESO character!

This weekend, I'm building up a Tanklar.  Bethesda/Zenimax changed Frost Staffs so you can Taunt, and Block with Magicka (AKA "Mana") so I'm trying it out with the class that does the best in a Melee without Melee weapons.  Also, I like poking mobs with a Staff.

I know, there's a Video Game thread.  I'm just looking for a safe subject.

Mostly just killing time until Landfall releases Unit Possession in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, which is scheduled for tomorrow.

I watched the trailer "For All Mankind", a new apple TV show. So who gives a shit unless you have apple TV?

Anyway, it looks good. Alternate history thing, that's neat. But as fucking soon as they started showing women in flight suits and one insufferable cunt going on about how she's gonna be an astronaut, not that she has to go through training or years worth of work to achieve it, she's just GONNA BE ONE I knew there'd be all kinds of "this trailer sucked until they showed the wahmen in flight suits! You go, girl!" And that was basically the sum of it on Twitter.

Seriously, go FUCK YOURSELVES. In the real world, the Apollo program didn't need insufferable Captain Marvel level cunts and women in flight suits to succeed.

Margaret Hamilton helped make the whole thing fucking possible. You stupid fucking morons! But Wahmen in a flight suit and being a cunt... that's what's awesome. Fuck off.  You spend all that money on making it look so amazing and time period accurate and ya fuck it up with this shit.

Guarantee you there won't be any mention of the real women who worked for Nasa at the time, it'll just be bitches in flight suits with nasty attitudes.

I can't find the Reply Guys thread (Thanks @Athos) but I've been watching the Bon Appetit (Magazine) Channel on utoob a lot lately, and the Mansplaining there is absurd.  Especially for Molly, because she's blond, so every jagoff on the net seems to click on her videos just to look at her, and then comment on how she's doin' it wrong.  It's getting out of hand, but from watching the other videos (Seriously, check it out.  I would love to work with that whole crew) she's pretty much the only one that gets this treatment, while Claire is busy reverse engineering snacks their childhoods.  he makes "Gourmet" cheetos, but if Molly says "One pot recipe" they line up to point out that she used a pentola.  Apparently, they never worked ina kitcchen where you set up a pentola on the stove when you set up the line, because it's mise en place for everyone on the line so you don't have to send a Preppie (Prep cook, that's me) to boil some water ever time ou have to poach an egg.

I forgot, all these guys in the comments totally know more than the dumb blond, working in the Test Kitchen of Bon Appetite Magazine.  Fortunately, they don't seem to read the Comments there.

We’re finally learning there are negative impacts to health from vaping, not that I’m the least bit surprised.

Two generations after people figured out smoking actually was not ‘cool’, the same sort of people now have to relearn that lesson with vaping.  Sorry, but to me they look very stupid, especially when they do it in public as a display of ‘look how cool I am.’  And when I’m out, people that would consider it rude to blow cigarette smoke in your face think nothing of blowing their vape in my face.  Sorry, just as rude.

The funny thing is that it was never an Industry thing.  It was all the Hipsters (I was on Vancouver Island, Seatac, Portland, and Colorado Springs when it was cool) talking about how it's totally not like smoking, right?

Nicotine is a toxin.  In aqueous solution, or smoke.  Says it right on the package, this is not a safer, or less toxic form of Smoking.  At best, the secondary danger to bystanders (I.E. Secondary smoke) is lower, which is why it's more permissible indoors, but that doesn't mean that inhaling a known neurotoxin is any less toxic for you.

https://youtu.be/RtiPaSKlHsI

"Tar" is an industry euphemism for "Everything else."  A low tar cigarette just has a denser filter (And lower nicotine, so you buy more.)  If it's pot, they call it "Resin."

No, the impurities are in aerosol colloid suspension, aqueous solution.  Tar is the active ingredient in lung butter.  (Unless it's weed, in which case it's "Resin.")

Nicotine is still a carcenogen, and a neurotoxin.  As well as a stimulant, vaping is just a higher concentration of that.  I'm smoking my pipe, right now.  If you don't inhale it, you just get mouth cancer.

Poking smot isn't any better for you either, and I've seen clickbait headlines to articles barely referencing tests of cannabinoids for use to chemically mark tumors labeled "New Study Shows Smoking Weed Kills Cancer."

In practice, "low tar" cigarettes are no different to normal cigarettes.

The tar level of cigarettes is measured mechanically - cigarettes are put into a machine, lit, and the fumes analysed.

Low-tar cigarettes have tiny holes drilled in the paper, just before and partially along, the filter. As you draw on the cigarette, air is drawn in the holes, and down channels molded in the filter, to "dilute" the smoke. It works brilliantly on a testing machine, but in real life the holes are covered by your fingertips, and the channels in the filter are blocked when the moisture of your lips softens the paper.

(I'm not a smoker, but I did work in the labs of a factory that made the paper. The holes used to be made with tiny spikes, but these days they use lasers to drill thousands of holes a second.)
