Just over a week ago I dreamt that I was in the company of two women. One was much older than the other - I could tell just by the way she was "speaking" to me despite not seeing either ladies face.

The second lady, the younger one, all I saw of her in my dream was her feet or rather, the lack of feet. She had long legs, but no feet - rounded stumps I believe, but at the time of writing this, I can't be sure anymore.

I can't remember much of was "said" during the dream except for right at the end before I woke, I heard "she's coming around to you." and then I woke up with my cat tabbing at my nose to wake me up for food.

Does anyone have any clue as to what the heck this might mean? I've searched periodcally the net and all I can find are threads about what it means if YOU loose your feet or dream of feet and nothing about what dreaming about other peoples' feet means.

Please help if you can I really what to know what this dream was about.

It's symbolic, but something Freud seemed to miss out on is everyone's Symbol Set is different.  It's your subconscious, and there appears to be some random neurological flashes in the brain when we're dreaming.  So, it may be significant, or just random noise.  Sleep is the mind's Reboot/Refomat/Defrag.  What we're conscious of as dreams (We can remember) is just what floats to the top of that simmering pot of mashup.

Sorry, but I'm not going to lie to you.  You're in your head with that.  The brain that created that image.  No one is more qualified to discern the meaning, if any.  It wouldn't mean anything to anyone else.

She never stood up, or walked?  It's possible, that it may have ment something about her staying put, not being able to leave.  It's also possible that the mind just didn't think about her having feet, like normal legs normally do, so didn't remember to render them.

Do you have any foot fetish?  That would significantly change the symbol set.

Thank you firstly for the reply.

Foot fetish, no. Never had or thought about feet sexually. As for walking or moving around, I think I might have dreamt that she did, but I really don't remember.

Well, it could be anxieties.

Your dream is not as exquisitely weird as mine have been. I was having an argument with someone and we ended up in WWI fighter planes, dogfighting, around a person we both knew, about level with her head. We were in 1/32 scale model aircraft.

And airspeed was about 2 inches per second.

So good luck figuring out what your dream was really about.

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Psi pretty well nailed it, but there ARE iconic similarities to some dream elements within your same language / regional / belief group.  They've identified what a number of symbols may mean to you, but as he'd mentioned some are unique to your subconscious, and even the standard elements you may be using in a different way.  It's been a seriously long time since my psych class, and I've forgotten nearly all of it since it wasn't directly relevant to me.

I still get the 'suddenly realize I'm at work with no pants on, and nobody notices' dream once every few months.  The situation is so absurd that I can frequently use it to trigger a lucid dreaming sequence.  Now THAT'S fun!  Same goes for 'flying' dreams, I can use it as a lucid trigger once I say "This doesn't make any sense, it's impossible!" and BONK! I'm awake and dreaming.

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

I had a strange one the other night.  I found my high school girlfriend’s passport in the bathroom.  Only it had photos in it, instead of stamps, including some nudes and boudoir.  I found myself aroused, and decided to slip into the shower and masturbate.  I’m pleasuring myself, when suddenly, someone turns the shower on.  The water is destroying the passport, which my old girlfriend is now in the bathroom looking for.  I turn around and there are three other people in the shower with me, a male and two females, laughing at my predicament.

In Japanese culture ghosts do not have feet.  That is how you can tell they are ghosts.  I don't know what it might symbolize in our culture

At least 68 Million hits on Google to the search for 'dream interpretation', so I would give some hope you can find answers you seek at one or more there.

  Good luck.

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

Thank you Joan, but that's one of the first things I did - check Google and Bing with no luck finding my specific dream, just things related to my own feet listed.

Lois: thank you for that, I had no idea!

Rope: I didn't have the opportunity to take a psych class during my education, in the UK unless your specifically going for a medical/theraputic position that sort of education isn't readily available.
