My upstairs neighbors kept me up until 1 or 2am last night.  No, unfortunately it isn't what you think.

They were just having a REALLY loud conversation or argument, and I think their TV was on too.  It did not seem that they were being loudly seuxal, just loud.

I was out the last two hours, now still only semi conscious and I'll likely be back asleep in a few... But something woke me up and gave me the overwhelming urge to visit KB and seek out the Who Got Laid thread 🤔

My dear wifey works night shifts at a local hotel, but Fridays are her day off.  So she comes in the room at 2 a.m. wakes me up, lights, bathroom, fish tank, etc.  Then once I am fully awake, she lays down and starts snoring, tossing, turning, mumbling, and having myoclonic jerks.  So I grab a pillow and blanket snd move downstairs at 3 a.m.  There my son is involved in downloading Xbox 5.0 off the modem.  He’s drinking, lights on, cursing, etc. and wants my help.  Jezzus Christ. So I finally went back upstairs to try and get a little sleep around 6 a.m.  Of course, that’s when the rather naughty videos start coming in.  Maybe I will sleep tonight.

Yes it does sometimes backfire but I can usually knock myself out lol. I find mixing booze with pain killers very effective.

Booze and pain killers?  :o

I know insomnia sucks, but I'd worry about that kind of self-medication possibly being 'too effective' and leading to an OD :'(

Instead of that, I’d go for Benadryl (cough syrup), as, it is known for its ability to make people drowsy, doesn’t require a prescription and can even take care of the occasional cough on the side.

I had best sleep of my life last night. Straight through to 05:13.
Funny how u remember the exact time lol.
Normally I'm awake at 1 something.
I've had a bottle of red and a bud and fosters oh and the Aldi bourbon. And a 30mg codeine. Feeling sleepy.

I fell asleep at 10 pm, then woke up at 2 am. Been awake all night. Almost 5 am now.

I've been suffering from late night wakeups for some years now.  I suspect its the effect of accumulated stress over decades.
