More Wauwatosa area. Not too far from Froedert Hospital. To me it is a big city. I've been to Chicago once, and did not care for it. I was with my dad and he was driving, and I was still nervous.
I can see someone being nervous never having driven in a large city before. I thought I could handle big city driving until I drove in Los Angeles. Chicago has four lanes going in each direction. L.A. has six or eight lanes going in each direction on some of their freeways.
I'm used to the traffic. Even in LA, yes it was on a larger scale, but it didn't faze me.
The thing that freaked me out in LA was motorcycles zooming between lanes when we're creeping along at 5-15 mph. These guys were going 55 on their two wheelers. CRAZY. Then, I find out it's perfectly legal. The tour guide told us lawmakers okayed it to help keep emissions down. Seems a idle bike produces more than a moving one.
The other thing was those signs warning of pedestrians. At first I was thinking...
do people like to play Frogger? Then it hit me, it was for immigrants crossing the border illegally. Seriously, they had to show the child being dragged airborne almost airborne.
