Because it's on right after the noon news.  It comes on and you can hear Maury's voice echoing across the room, "Sally here claims Bubba is the father of her child..."

Don't pretend you don't know what I am talking about.  I'm sure you've stumbled across this freak show some time.  And I don't know if it's ten years.  Maybe a little bit less, but probably even longer. That's how the lowest common denominator of our society watches television.  And that is why cable television had to give us two-hundred, three-hundred channels more of absolute shit.
