What the racist child rape enabler fails to point out is until this week the GOP had pulled all financial support from Roy Moore.

It wasn't until the Pussy Grabber endorsed the Child Rapist that the "Family Values" party reinstated funding.

Reading is a skill.  joan1984 fails at it.  Fortunately we are better informed than him.

You forgot:

Dishonesty

We all know he’s lying about those girls, and what reprehensible lies they are.

Jed, if you move to Alabama, you get to cast a vote there. You could even be a member of the jury if Judge Moore is charged with a crime and goes to court.

Then you opinion of whether one or another is lying can serve you well. Presumption of innocence, remember that quaint phrase? Think about it.

You, and the many other Moore defenders, miss two very important points.

First, "presumption of innocence" is a requirement for a juror in an authorized legal proceeding, and not for someone expressing an opinion on an opinion board.

And second, "presumption of innocence" is only the starting point -- in both a legal proceeding and the formulation of a personal opinion. Once evidence has been presented and considered, that "presumption of innocence" can change, as in Roy Moore's case, to an assumption of guilt.

joan1984 loves the Trump playbook.  Lie about everything even when it's evident he is wrong.

I'm sure his educators and family are thrilled about his lack of ethics.

Here's the thing about American Democracy - Democracy itself does not reign supreme, the law does.  This means we should never elect someone that breaks or flouts our laws, or demonstrates a willingness to do so.

Moore is a white separatist. He would not represent anyone who is not white.  This goes against the very point of having representatives and the fundamentals of our laws.

Rights are not negotiable, that is why we call them rights.

Well, Anthony Weiner is off to parts unknown, "has left New York" his office says... yes, he still has an office, and staff, and continues as a member of the House of Representatives, which delays for the present a 'special election' while the issue is hot... off for mental help, sex addiction perhaps, or maybe going to cheerleader auditions, who cares...

Presumed is he will remain a reliable vote for Nancy Pelosi and her Democrats, brazen this out, then get redistricted out of a job, go on to collect his millions in a lifetime pension and healthcare, and continue to use the House facilities, gym, pool and so on.

No word on Huma Weiner... reporters not asking at State Department. Maybe all too busy searching thru 5 year old emails to satisfy their lust for dirt on a regular citizen.  Wonder if he "pecked 'er" on the cheek, as he was leaving town to be 'cured'. With Hillary and Bill Clinton, the Weiners have the best of the best as to how to weather a sex scandal. (The Clinton Impeachment detail archives are still locked away, for another 14 years.)

On to the next story, nothing to see here... Life in Washington continues... and 'Antnie' has left the building...

Hmm.

Apparently it was not ok to show Mr. Happy to underage girls, but it is ok to molest them.

Alabama Forced To Release Thousands Of Sex Offenders After Inmates Deny Charges

MONTGOMERY, AL—Saying that the state had no choice but to take them at their word, Alabama officials on Tuesday announced that thousands of sex offenders would be released after the inmates firmly denied the charges. “If they said they didn’t do it, then what choice do we have but to let them go?” said Alabama Department of Corrections administrator Clay Buxton, adding that penitentiaries statewide would be interviewing prisoners and releasing them immediately upon receiving their sworn declaration of innocence. “We sometimes ask these individuals not just once but multiple times if they’re guilty of sex crimes, and when they say no, often very emphatically, our hands are pretty much tied.” Buxton emphasized, however, that any inmates who admitted that they did commit a sex crime will remain behind bars and continue to carry out their sentences as originally handed down.

Prior to an official holding office, in an election, the voters decide who they wish to represent them. In theory, the voter chooses the person expected to better bring forward the individual voter's views on various issues.

Elected Officials, being selected by a majority of local or state voters, remain subject to recall, and subject to not being reelected when the next vote is due.

In the case of U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner, a member of the U.S. House Leadership, his illegal acts caused his prosecution eventually, with the 2011 report being the first to hit National 'news' reporting.

He was encouraged to resign his seat in the U.S. House, and continued his illegal ways, in this case, with yet additional young girls, and violation of law.
--------------------

While we are on the "what about's", I want to note that in the case of Judge Moore, at least one 'incident' claimed involved a young woman who was 17 years younger than the Judge at the time she knew him.

Monica Lewinsky at the time of her assault in the White House Oval Office was 27 years younger than President Bill Clinton, just as an age/action reference.

Sexual assault is a crime.

Molesting the underage is a crime.

Mathematically, you are correct:

Clinton: 49-22 = 27 years
Moore: 32-15 = 17 years

Ethically, you couldn't be farther from the truth:

Clinton: Sex with 22 year old = adult and consensual
Moore: Sex with 15 year old = child and statutory rape

And of course Moore sexually assaulted a 14 year old.

Whataboutism is not a defense.

The sad thing is that I believe Al Franken may have been set up to provide a whataboutism argument concerning Roy Moore.  Think about it:

1. The first woman that "came out", Leeann Tweeden, is a contributor for Fox News;

2. All the reports afterwards were about Franken placing his hand on an arse during a public photo session.  This has happened to me on occasion, and when speaking to the men about it they had no idea this bothered women because men do it with each other it seems;

3. The seventh woman, a former Democratic congressional aide, alleged that Franken tried to forcibly kiss her after a taping of his radio show in 2006.

“This allegation is categorically not true and the idea that I would claim this as my right as an entertainer is preposterous,” Franken said. “I look forward to fully cooperating with the ongoing ethics committee investigation.”

I beleive Al Franken.  But clearly there is no way to prove innocence or guilt in this matter. However, if this last accusation is true, Franken absolutely should resign.

The same cannot be said of Trump and Moore, where the women assaulted told friends about it at the time and the stories can be corroborated.

It's all moot at this point however, as Al Franken has announced he will resign.

I love a good conspiracy as much as the next person, but the only way this conspiracy theory works is if Franken himself is a part of it.

Regardless of Leeann Tweeden's employment history, Franken admitted that Tweeden's allegations were true. For this conspiracy theory to be true, that would mean that Franken deliberately lied and affirmed false allegations, and that Franken willingly sacrificed his career and his reputation in attempt to derail Roy Moore's Senate run.

Your second point is a little disturbing. I know this isn't what you meant, but what you did write could be construed as meaning it's something that men just do, so women should simply put up with it. Of course, a pat on the ass is almost incomparably different from all of the other accusations/allegations lain against men since this "crisis" came to light last month. Nonetheless, it's part and parcel of the pattern of male behavior that the #MeToo movement is fighting against.

To your third point, why is Franken's "categorical denial" believable, while the categorical denials of other men accused not believable?

The revelations about Franken's behavior were extremely depressing to me. But my opinion of Franken rose to no small degree yesterday when he proved he has at least some integrity by resigning his senate seat. He acted for the good of the party, and the good of the country. I hope similarly embattled politicians, starting with Roy Moore, follow his lead and act similarly.

There is some good news in all of this.  From now on when you feel a politician's hand on your backside, you can have some assurance he's only reaching for your wallet.
