On the lighter side, if you want to share your story or pictures of the disaster with the world, scroll down to the bottom of that link.

All the best wishes.  We were hit by a similarly massive storm last year.  Took more than 3 months to get back to some kind of normal.  And that too because of a lot of strangers showing extraordinary kindness.

Very scary.  The images on the news both make me worry about family and KB members, but also make me glad to see so many people working together.

I hope the storm moves to where it is dry and the rain would be welcome.

There are two reservoirs that have now topped out, west of downtown, for the first time in history.  The Army Corps of Engineers announced at 8 a.m. that the floodgates must be opened.

Expect more flooding, because these both flow into flood soaked Buffalo Bayou.

Plus all of the rich white folks live between these reservoirs and downtown... River Oaks, Memorial, Bunker Hill...

If the dams fail there will be disaster an order of magnitude greater than now.  Still, it seems such a shame as there are parts of the country that desperately need water.

Stay on high ground y'all!

Yikes!  At least it looks like it is finally dispersing.

Any word about your home yet?  Is the place you are staying ok?

Actually, it is regrouping over the Gulf, and will make a third landfall tomorrow.

Prayers for KitKat and all the folks in Harvey's path, including my brother, nieces, and nephews.

As Tropical Storm Harvey hovers over the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday, it threatens to dump an additional 15 inches of rain on southwestern Louisiana and southeastern Texas, including the inundated Houston area.

Oh geeze.  Please stay safe Kit Kat!

As for Staci's comment about heels, I hope you have 6-10 foot heels!
