The election results. I don't normally bother sitting up (the polls close at 2200, the first results usually come in around 1230, this time the result was officially confirmed just after 0500 and the last few seats will be confirmed at some point today) watching it but the hilarity of the total implosion of our (until yesterday) ruling party was too good not to watch.

Currently rewatching the latest season of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War.

Learning that Ichigo's mother died not because of the hollow Grand Fisher, but because the main bad guy took back the powers he bestowed on the weakest of the Quincies. I cried when I watched Ichigo watching his mom die, and the fact that he gained his moms powers, the hollow that was sealed within her's powers and his fathers powers, resulting in him growing as strong as he did. also the return to the soul society scene was funny.

Bob Marley: One Love

Poor. So, so, so poor. I really like Marley's music but his story deserved much better than this. Didn't seem to be any real storyline, just some random events from his later life with no real story between them. The actor playing him was good but the really thick Jamaican accents make it difficult to follow if you're not used to them (I've worked with loads of Carribeans so I wasn't too bad but my wife really struggled to understand parts of it) which doesn't help when you're already trying to work out what the hell is going on.

That's a shame.  I saw the stage show about a year ago and thought it was great.

I thought One Love was a decent movie. Instead of just playing snippets of his songs, it would have been nice to hear the entire song. A great song writer and visionary,  tragically dying at an early age.

Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War on Netflix.  A six part series. Most of us have heard of his famous shoot out at the OK Corral but that event went on to influence events in London and the White House and threatened to divide the country again between North and South. Lots of history I did not know of until I watched the series.

I visited Tombstone over 30 years ago. They had lots of history all over the town. The OK Corral was even recreated with all the participants depicted in statues.

There were plaques all over town like Sheriff So and So was gunned down here on (date).
My favorite was a store with a plaque that read on this  (date) nothing happened. :emot_laughing:

Last night I watched a movie on Netflix called "The Hit Man," which came out earlier in the year.

A movie with that title wouldn't normally be a Barbara movie, but a friend recommended it, and I loved it. It's funny, dramatic, and romantic.

Without giving anything away, the "hit man" is a college professor who moonlights for the New Orleans Police Department designing surveillance electronics. At one point in a sting operation, the cop who is supposed to be posing as a hit man is suspended, so they ask the professor to step in. He discovers he's very good at it, and he enjoys the role. Until...

Ike Clanton was thought to be the person who set fire to Tombstone after the Cowboy War ended. It was reported he said that if he couldn't run Tombstone, no one would. The one thing that survived the fire was the OK Corral sign.  Ike Clanton was shot dead at the age of 40 by one of the rangers sent in to clean up Arizona.

Untold: Hope Solo Vs U.S. Soccer. On Netflix. One of the best, if not the best, women's goalkeeper in the United States. She had her issues, yes, but she was one of the first to take the U.S. Soccer Federation to court demanding equal pay for women's soccer. Her outspokenness caused her to be alienated among her teammates, even being dropped from the U. S. team at times.

I watched Under the Tuscan Sun for the 10,00th time last night.  I don’t want to live in Europe. I want to live in a movie about living in Europe.

Shadows in the Sun (2005) staring Harvey Keitel.

An aspiring young writer tracks a literary titan suffering from writer's block to his refuge in rural Italy and learns about life and love from the irascible genius and his daughters.

Pretty good.

Chinatown.  I try to watch it whenever it is streaming.  Hard to believe it is 50 years since it premiered.
