It was only a couple of years ago that I watched all series of The Big Bang Theory. Have just discovered Young Sheldon.  Mrs Obi didn't bother with TBBT but thinks YS is real ROFLMAO stuff.

Whoever recently recommended “Where the Crawdads Sing”, thank you. That was a mind blowing piece of work. Wow.

I too enjoyed "Where The Crawdads Sing". I read the book shortly after it came out. As usual there is so much more detail in the book.

How the young girl survives on her own is only briefly touched on. As somewhat of a nature boy I could appreciate her love for the critters around her.

We paid a few dollars on Amazon Prime Video to watch the show because of how much I enjoyed the book. Now I see it's available on Netflix and we could have saved those few dollars to go towards a replacement car. :-[

The eight episode feature called Wednesday, now playing on Netflix. Wednesday is the name of the girl in the Addams Family. In this feature, she is away at a boarding school. The actress playing Wednesday is cute and the I enjoyed the series.

Just finished "Lost In Space". Great special effects but I found the storytelling to be disjointed in many parts.

The last season of Locke and Key on Prime. Soooo frustrating watching these people make the decision they make? I understand it's for suspense and whatnot, but why do shows make their characters so stupid at some points, and super geniuses at others... figure out a different way that keeps them consistent.

Yesterday we watched "Smokey and the Bandit". Burt Reynolds flick 1977.

It was the pick of wife's son. We celebrate T-day on Sunday as he works holidays.

Movie was his pick but I roared all through it. It's held up very well over the years. May watch it again sometime soon.

Wife's son has seen it a lot. He knew all the punch lines and would blurt them out before the actor could.

But it made for a fun day.  :D

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
A-we gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go, and a short time to get there,
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run!

I immediately get that ear worm anytime S & TB is mentioned.

I’ve also been known to spontaneously burst into the song on long car trips with the children in the backseat. Much to their chagrin.

I highly recommend the book. The movie was ok, but just a bare bones coverage of her life in the marsh. Especially right after her dad left her alone. The book details her learning about the wildlife around her and how that helped her. Great read even if you know the ending from the movie.

Not until the very end, when Tate finds the necklace. Which makes everything you had assumed and emotionally invested in during the movie a big mess.

Took some time this past weekend to watch "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once."  Great movie all around.  It's the shining example of the sci-fi multiverse/kung-fu movie that Fearless by Jet Li wasn't.  Take the premise of Fearless, mix in the positivity of Steven Universe, and add in a healthy dose of some Hunter S. Thompson WTFness and you've got what could easily be a shitty movie pulled off just right.

I'm becoming a fan of A24's movies.

I still think it was the shop keeper, and he gave her the pendant to show her she was safe from him.

Good Night Oppy on Amazon Prime. The story of rover Opportunity’s 90 day mission to Mars that turned into 15 years of exploration. It’s a documentary that feels like a drama. Dare you not to get a little choked up.

I agree Toe. That little rover traveling all over for 15 years on a mission that was hoped to last 90 days was remarkable. Oppy was like the Energizer Bunny. They just kept giving it new missions. It's no wonder several of the rocket scientists shed tears when it finally stopped working.

The Glass Onion on Netflix. Tech billionaire Miles Bron invites his friends for a getaway on his private Greek island. When someone turns up dead, Detective Benoit Blanc is put on the case. Daniel Craig in a very entertaining post-Bond role. Ed Norton plays a very crazy billionaire who can’t help but make you think about Elon Musk.

Holidate. Funny romcom. Fed up with being single on holidays, two strangers agree to be each other's platonic plus-ones all year long, only to catch real feelings along the way. Emma Roberts.

Murder Mystery. A New York cop and his wife go on a European vacation to reinvigorate the spark in their marriage, but end up getting framed and on the run for the death of an elderly billionaire. It was good when it was good, and awful when it was bad. Very annoying Adam Sandler.
