Stephen King's "It".  The 1990 version.  The new attempt opens in theaters in a few days.

The old one did a good job of capturing the essence of the book and was ok.  It ran about three and a half hours.  The new one, which I'm sure will be filled with lots of CGI effects is just a little over two hours.  I have near zero hopes they'll come close to the 1990 version. 

King's books are just too detailed to ever be brought to the screen. IMHO
Anyway, I'll no doubt watch it, if nothing else but to prove my opinions here are correct.  Or, maybe I'll be surprised and it'll be a winner.
