Also just watched Wednesday. It was left open for a season 2 but also wrapped up nicely as a stand-alone mini-series if they decide to kill it. It is a little Harry Potterish, but more grounded in horror, which I like. Still no decision on if it will be renewed for season 2. It is streaming on Netfix.
Another show I've been following is Avenue 5, with Hugh Laurie. It's a comedy about an off-course space cruise ship. Laurie plays the captain, but he's not really a captain. He is an actor hired by the real captain who didn't want to deal with the passengers. Everything quickly begins to unravel when the real captain gets killed in about the first 5 minutes. It is extremely funny, if sometimes silly. No word yet as to a season 3. Season one and two are available on HBOMax.
A show I am also very excited about that has been renewed for season 4, is Love, Death, and Robots. It also streams on Netflix. Made up of short animated films, no longer than 22 minutes each, each film is by a different director, writer, or studio. Each animation style is different and ranges in themes from Santa actually being a hideous monster that vomits up presents for good children to a farmer getting into a guerilla warfare battle with rats in his barn. Some are creepy, some are funny. and some are downright heartbreaking. I highly recommend it.
