I agree with your comments about Trading Places, but it is such a fun movie. And yes, for some reason, the picture of Dan Aykroyd on the bus eating a smoked salmon through his Santa beard, is an indelible image in my mind. I think about it every holiday.

The movie I watched that made a huge impression on me recently is “The Irishman.” You really must see it on Netflix. If you are a Godfather fan, A Goodfellas fan, the fan on Martin Scorsese, you just have to see it. You’re either going to love this movie or hate it. But it will definitely draw you in. I could not believe seeing all the master performers of my life together on the screen. At least 20 or 30 years past their prime, but playing some incredible roles. It will absolutely blow your mind.

"Hacksaw Ridge" - A great film about a real life hero.  It does contain a rather unrealistic gore fest of a battle though (not that the real battle wasn't full of bloodshed, just that Mel Gibson represents it in his typical cartoon-ish way).

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

Raining in the Florida Keys for last 3 days, so we went and watched the Star Wars film.  I'm not a Star Ears fan, but I had a nice nap. Hahaha
The had good popcorn though

Finally took the time to watch "The Irishman". Hadn't realized it was based on real people.  Lots of pure speculation, but a joy to watch all those veteran actors do a super job at playing their rolls.  I saw on IMDB that Joe Pesci turned down his part multiple times, not wanting to come out of retirement. Glad they finally tempted him back.

Just finished binge watching the first season of Castle Rock.  It's a Stephen King TV series by Hulu, I think.

But it was lots of fun, I hope to see a season 2!

Now to catch up on The Expanse.

We're working on "The Expanse" now too. Watched it on SyFy when it came out. It got confusing (for us old people anyway).  Took nine months for a next season to roll around again. By that time, we'd forgotten who was who, doing what to whom.  By the time we got caught up, BAM, that season was over.

Now we're streaming it on Prime and to go right into the next season without forgetting too much. Yes, we're even older know. On season three and looking forward to the new season four...when we get there.

My favorite cast member is Shohreh Aghdashloo, the Iranian woman who plays, Chrisjen Avasarala, the only one who seems to know what to do in the whole solar system.  I'm in lust with her voice.

Just watched the final episode of “Mr. Robot.”  It kept me guessing what was real and what was just in Elliot's head. Additionally it was and emotional roller coaster of a ride to the end. I hate seeing the series end but they did it while on a high note. I hate it when shows drag out just for the money.  This is definitely a series I will watch over again. Though this time I think it will be a binge so nothing gets lost between shows.  If you haven't caught this series I'd suggest doing so before it is only available as a rental or google makes it disappear for being to close to their plans.

I like the idea that a voice can just go somewhere, uninvited, and just kinda hang out like a dirty thought in a nice clean mind. Maybe a thought is like a virus,  it can kill all the healthy thoughts

Cagney & Lacey. Every night on THiS after midnight, two episodes of In The Heat Of The Night, followed by two episodes of Cagney & Lacey.

You guys know there are newer shows out, right?

Last night watched an episode of Riverdale.

If you have cable or some other pay service.

I'll just put this here rather than start a new topic.

Leaks for Star Trek: Picard are out. Real or not, this is some Disney star wars level fuckery.

Androids go crazy. The girl looking for Picard's help is a half robot Frankenstein. Picard doesn't leave Earth for 3 episodes and no 7 of 9 for a while either. CJ had a thing for seven.  ;D Voyager sucked, but Jeri Ryan was yummy.  :D

Starfleet builds an armada to save the Romulans from the JJ Abrams movie but the Data like androids turn Skynet and nuke the ships.

And worst of all, they're busting their ass to link it to that abomination Discovery. And given the jackass they put in charge of both shows, this will be an even bigger disaster. That guy shouldn't have been put in charge of a hot dog cart.

There's also a rumor, doubt it's even close to true that there's possibly a deal coming to sell star trek to NBC Universal and Seth McFarlane would take over. Rumor also is that the Orville was pitched as a star trek series but got turned down for the garbage they've shat out.

I can not describe how disappointed I was with this first episode.

It's like they watched two episodes of TNG and made up the rest. These bozos couldn't write a god damn email without fucking it up! How is it fucking possible they fucked up star trek worse than Disney fucked up star wars?? How do people this untalented get these jobs? Did Patrick Stewart need the money? Did he squander it all away and was desperate?

This is an absolute abomination! It's bad enough it's in that god forsaken "JJ" timeline. You know, the one where a supernova kills all the Romulans.

I can't even be bothered to watch one more episode of this. They said Voyager sucked, which it kinda did, but it wasn't that bad. At least they put time and effort into it. I think they wrote all this shit while they were giving blowjobs to homeless men. :emot_banghead:

CJ knew it was out, didn't care to see a sequel that took 10 years to make.

Wow, jaded much?

That means you won't get to enjoy Men in Black: International either.  I did.  ;D

It's official. CJ is done watching the walking dead.

I didn't even remember it was back on Sunday. This means CJ will likely never watch it again.

It got boring. It got predictable. It's over.  I used to love that show, but now... eh... I don't get why I ever even liked it.

I stopped watching after Season 3.  It’s formulatic, predictable, and yes, boring.

Could easily watch the new episode... I just don't care.

I think it ran out of gas, even though it can last years in that world, a few seasons ago. Oh well. Move on to other things.

The last time I watched a series start to finish was battlestar galactica, and then it pissed me off with its ending.

And before that the only reason I watched Stargate anymore was because of Amanda Tapping.
