SHE CAME TO ME starring Anne Hathaway, Peter Dinklage, Marisa Tormei.

It was funny, as it was meant to be.  Not a great movie, but it was worth it.  I enjoyed our time there.

Movie: 3-1/2 out of 5 stars.
Popcorn: 4-1/2 out of 5 stars.
Didn't get a frozen coke.

BUT, next week is the movie that I can not wait to see.    KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON.   I expect it to be fantastic.  I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I am just so excited.  Previews have been wonderful.  The movie is 3 hours 29 minutes long.

Directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, John Lithgow, Jesse Plemons

I’ve loved John Lithgow ever since he played Roberta Muldoon in “The World According to Garp” with Robin Williams.

Welp, it's next week and I just got back from the movie.

F*@& was it long!   It could have been summed up in 1:30.  It moved excruciatingly slow.  They talked so slow (1920 Oklahomans).  And some of the scenes with no dialogue.

It's a movie that needs to be told, and I was looking forward to learning about the story.  But my god, don't bore the sh*t out of me in the telling of it over 3 hours and 30 minutes.

We were listening to some light jazz with dinner last night. A female vocalist sang a very nice jazzy version of "Misty".

That reminded me of the movie, "Play Misty For Me". That was the first movie directed by  Clint Eastwood. After dinner we found the movie on Prime.

It was quite enjoyable still. Several scary moments and suspense. Needed to.fluft up the edge of my seat this morning.

As a former DJ, it was always a bit unnerving when the phone rang late at night.

Well trained and been made compliant....by my cat Neville

I also love John Lithgow.  Somewhat surprised when he was picked to play Winston Churchill in "The Crown" but thought he was excellent.

I have the Lions on MNFB, the Rangers on MLB World Series, and NBA Dallas Mavericks. All playing at the same time. My head is exploding just a little.

Two shows. Good Omens season 2 on prime. Taking me a little bit to get into it, however, I have to say that Jonathan Hamm, has a good butt.

And the Midnight Club on Netflix. Seems different than other Mike Flanagan series, and starting off slow, but it's starting to pick up. When I'm done with this, I'm moving on to The Fall of the House of Usher.

.......

Loved Good Omens Season 1.  Felt disappointed with episode 1 of season two and almost abandoned, saw episode 2 and decided to persevere, not seen any more yet.

After handing out candy, I came in the house and was chilled to the bone.  I had planned for this though.  My pajamas had already dried in the dryer.  But I didn't take them out.  Coming in the house I ran the dryer for 10 more minutes.  Shorts, t-shirt, flannel long leg and long sleeve.  My big fluffy house socks.  I sat on the couch with my heavy blanket over me.  I watched 2 shows of Arrested Development. S1 E1-E2.  We had never watched it before.   And somewhere in the middle of E2 I fell asleep.  Woke up to the TV being off and another blanket over me.  Dan assumed I was still sleeping on the couch because he's still coughing.  He was right.  I fell back to sleep and slept 10 hours.  10 HOURS!  10pm-8am. So why do I have a mini headache?

It does get better and they revisit several moments from season one. It has an murder mystery feel to it as they piece things together.

Arrested Development is the greatest comedy series ever made. There’s always money in the banana stand. I am an analrapist. And of course, Cousin Maeby.

I had to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show last night. So I have a sweet transvestite earworm today.

No Hatd Feelings on Netflix.

My friends had seen it, and said it was really funny so I decided to give it a go.

It's about a woman, played by Jennifer Lawrence, who is struggling to keep her home and loses her car, and she's an uber driver so she needs a car to keep her house.  Coincidentally there is mother and father who are concerned for their 19 year old son who is an extreme introvert but is leaving for college. They offer a car for anyone who can "date" him and give him experiences.

The "man-eater" after the shy virgin. Quite a bit of slapstick comedy but it is rather funny if not slighlty predictable. What wasnt predictable, and what I think most of you may enjoy was a stark naked Jennifer Lawrence on a beach beating up three punks. It is dark so you're not gonna see all her bits and pieces, but you see much more than I'd ever expect.

“Sticky: The Story of Self Love” on FreeVee. A very interesting documentary about masturbation. Discussion of religious thoughts about rubbing one out also. Sin of Onan and all that. “If God didn’t want us to masturbate, then why didn’t he give us shorter arms?”

We just came from $5 Tuesdays and free popcorn at our theatre.

Priscilla

About the life of Priscilla Presley from the time she met him, to the time she left him.  Oh my!  The movie does not shed Elvis in a good light.  I walked away sad for Priscilla, and not a good taste in my mouth for Elvis.
The movie was good, but not the type of movie you walk out of with a smile on your face. My mind is still a bit shaken by the movie. The first half was just creepy, icky because of the age difference..

Movie: 4 stars out of 5
Popcorn: 5 out of 5
Frozen Coke: 5 out of 5, consistency was spot on. Disappointed I only got a small.  But I refilled on the way out.

The Breakfast Club. The opening credits say March 24, 1984. And it occurred to me, holy fuck. Next March 24 will be the 40th anniversary of the Breakfast Club. They are all grandparents by now.
