Read "I Found You" during the drive to and from Niagara Falls.

It's a chick book, boys. No need to read further.

I really enjoyed it.  Lisa Jewell is a very good storyteller.  Half way through I found myself comparing it to "A Girl On A Train", but it's not.   It is suspenseful and kept me guessing throughout.  And it turns out my guesses were not correct.

Don't want to give too much away, but.....

A single woman of 3 living on a seaside beach discovers a man on the beach one day.  He has lost his memory and doesn't know who he is or where he is from.  60 miles away, a newly married woman's husband of 3 weeks disappears.  The story bounces back and forth between them, and also to the same seaside town except 20 years in the past.

I have found this book very helpful.  For others that are suffering like me you can purchase it at Amazon.  https://www.amazon.com/dp/1594743061/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_Op4mEbWHPSHX1

Now we know why our Jules is always so happy. As a "small" guy, I never thought the the "big boys" had such problems they needed a book. :emot_laughing:

The real story is, Toe lent it to Dan.  Dan had no reason to read the book, let alone have it in his possession.

I should Boo him for even posting that.

mmm-hmmm, Mr smarty pants

Jules does have a smile on her face much of the time.   Partly because, though Mr Durango Dan is not well endowed in the penile department, he is highly skilled in methods in which to use it.

I stand corrected. In my weak defense, it was such an easy "cheap shot". Being the perv I am, I was unable to resist. :emot_kiss:

I'm sorry love, but the first thought I had was him using it to turn the pages of the book.   :emot_laughing:

Was at a party with my first wife’s coworkers, where she got way too drunk way too early (a frequent occurrence).  As I was hustling her out the door, she made a comment towards those saying goodbye about my size.  There were surprised and amused looks on their faces, so I said, ‘The 3 of us will be leaving now,’ including my junk in the departure.  That got a few laughs, and one guy asked if there was room in the front seat for all 3 of us.

My ex wrote a book with an almost identical title. The old battleaxe changed the last word to Dick. It wasn't flattering.

I read the Sword of Truth series.  It was my brother in laws favorite and had all the books.  I picked up Wizards First Rule one day, read one chapter and never put it down.  I don't remember the title Warheart.

This book was the conclusion?  Maybe I just forgot the title name.

I had thought the series ended after "confessor" but a while ago I found he added 4 more books.

Omen Machine
The Third Kingdom
Severed Souls
Warheart

Calico Joe by John Grisham.

Apparently not about the legal profession. The narrator weaves his family stuff among the MLB debut of baseball phenom Joe Castle from Calico Rock, Arkansas during the summer of 1973.

Only three chapters in but it's riveting so far.

My brother in law was a fan of his and has about every one of his books.  Just looked and yes it is on the bookshelf.  I mentioned to Dan that you said it was good so far.  He's a baseball fan.   He is going to make it his next read.   thx Purple

Just finished Jack London’s ‘The Call of the Wild’.  I last read it as a boy.  This time I read it in small amounts sitting in a comfortable chair, read so slowly it took about 3 weeks.

Been drinking a local variety pack of RavenBeer, so I pulled out a collection of stories by Edgar Allan Poe to read next, starting with ‘The Murders in the Rue Morgue’.

A favorite of mine.  We have several copies here, and everyone in the house has read it at least once.
