I woke up this morning and was startled to learn that Trump is our next president.  One CNN analyst summed it up nicely - our polling was wrong and we own that.   The stock markets are taking a beating as they preferred Clinton.  But my guess is that after a couple weeks, people will see that the United States is still standing and things will work themselves out.

Though I was surprised this morning (I went to bed around 12:30 am), I was surprised, but far from shocked.

Nonetheless, I agree completely with what you say about things working themselves out. They will, and the U.S. will still be standing four (or eight) years from now.

The good that comes out of all this is my wife bet me Shrilldawg was going to crush him and when she did she'd get to fuck me in the ass for two whole hours, as hard as she wanted.

I countered the bet if Trump won I could do the same to her. She was soooooooo fucking smug and arrogant and was saying "no lube, white girl". But then it all turned around and I informed her "no lube, Jap girl".  ;D

I am going to fuck her... SO hard and without lube that perfect ass of hers will hurt so bad she won't be able to sit on it without it giving her PTSD.

Thank you, Trump! You'll fuck us over, but not as much as I'm gonna fuck her.  :aol_anal:

Maybe some day you'll have sex with a real human being and, some time later, the memories of posts like this will cause a little twinge of embarrassment.

Awwww someone's having a bad day.

I'm not at all shocked at the outcome, but I'm pretty surprised the Democrats never managed to pull the finger out and avoid it somehow, with all the money they spent. Even with a perfect example of how not to handle an election in the UK just months ago, they still managed to make more or less all the same mistakes.

That's a concise and precise summary.

So's this: The election was Hillary's to lose. And she lost.

Yeah. But it seems odd. It seemed like it was being rigged for her, then she started to cancel victory celebrations a day or so early.

Makes me wonder if something happened behind the scenes and some kind of deals were made because of all her scandals. Somehow I think we'll never hear about her being investigated for anything ever again.

I can't accept any of this is completely on the level. The media was bending over backwards for her and worshiping her.

Some in California are now calling for a vote to exit the United States.  Guess the weed there this week may be a bit potent.  Will never happen.  ;D

I don't know about that.  Texas is not that far from being able to doing it.

I am not sure either side could win this country with anything like a majority.  This was a very close election.  I have not seen anything like an official tally yet but many have said Clinton had the popular vote.  Once again the Electoral College has defied the American people's desires.  However, my point is that we in the USA are in the middle of a new civil war.  One that cannot draw a North and South  (supply your own divisions as you please.) type of line because the line is in every city and backyard.  It has the power though to destroy this country and is doing just that.  Neither Trump or Clinton or even Sanders has the ability to unite this country.  Short of a holocaust I am not sure anyone could end this war.

It's like all of America walked up to the polling booth, turned to face the rest of the world, and said "Here, hold my beer!".

His acceptance was more tempered than I was expecting, but I still worry that Trump is an isolationist, but Putin is an expansionist.  That does not bode well for those of us in between.

On top of that, I keep remembering what Trump kept saying about nukes in the Middle East, and that in January they give him The Button...

It's basically rural/rust belt vs. urban/educated.  It's also whites vs. everyone else.  It's a shrinking demographic, but they are relying on gerrymandering and voter suppression to hang on.  Trouble now is that they can set American back several decades in four years' time.  And they will.

Bull poop! The Democrats have done more gerrymandering than the Republicans have ever hoped to do. Look what they did to Adam West in Florida when they thought he represented a threat. It's done almost every time the democrats take over the house. The states where there is gerrymandering going on have began expressing there displeasure through their vote.

No button was given to Trump. It takes an act of Congress to declare war and he doesn't have the only key that's needed to activate nukes. Stop the propaganda until you know what you're talking about.BTW: Obama is the only president that has enacted a law (more a rule he damned well expects to be followed) without Congressional  approval.

The point is that no one should be allowed to gerrymander, period.

We need non-partisan redistricting.

@aensualtraveler Try looking at the districts in Texas before you make such broad statements. We have had a court tell the state congress that they can't draw districts like that.

@sensualtraveler. You are offbase again on executive orders.

The president can commit troops for a limited number of days. And that by itself, in the right place and time can embroil us in a war.
